Edit: I take it back, he is shooting 89% on Free Throws. Otherwise, the point stands.

I really disagree. I think he's more more informative and insightful than most of the regulars I've heard around the league. Also, Scal is awful.

Eh, plenty of them deserve it.That could be an insult to the regulars around the league, though.

More simply: he talks goofy.I think Scal knows a lot of the players still in the league, and has some cool anecdotes, but his feel for when to talk and his delivery so that you can easily understand him, are bad. Just not a good broadcaster yet.
I think he's more knowledgeable than most of these guys, though. He knows what he's talking about, and I think he's pretty good at breaking it down on replays. I learn more from watching when he's on than when Heinsohn's on, that's for sure.

Some of it's novelty and a different perspective, but I think you're right. He reminds me a bit of Bradford doing the Red Sox games a few times. His presentation was a bit goofy too at times, but he brought some good insight at times I wasn't used to getting. Same for Scal.

Bradford blows at broadcasting. The jury is still out on Mr. Scalabrine.

Maybe so, but they both know their stuff and I'm happy to hear what them have to say. Substance gives them a bigger margin for error on the style side.

Down 4 points on the road, 7 minutes left. Rondo, KG, and Pierce are all out of the game. WTF!!!
It's like Doc has been trying to make sure everyone gets the feel for what a trap game really is, whether it's necessary or not, and whether they like it or not.

Doc is great at calling plays out of timeouts. Last two were great.
Yup, it's his bread and butter. Here we go.
