So...
Johnson, Buerhe, Reyes, Buck and Bonifacio
for
Alvarez, Escobar and Hechevarria
that's 8. I missed who the 9th guy was.

One source tells Jon Paul Morosi of FOX Sports (Twitter link) that Johnson, Buehrle, Reyes, John Buck, and Emilio Bonifacio are all going to Toronto.

I bet he would poison santa's cookies, when he was a kid, so he could have more toys for himself. You're a mean one, Mr Loria.

I'm sure the people of Florida are happy to have handed over a few hundred million dollars to this team.

Yep, Rogers Sportsnet corrected themselves. Much better prospect then what Marisnick who I mentioned earlier. He's a top LHP prospect. The Jays may regret giving him up in a few years, but I'm sure if he pans out he won't be in Miami by then anyways.Nicolino is the 9th player in the deal he's going to Miami.

Situations like this are at the point that I can't really blame Loria - if local government is stupid enough to fall for a scheme this obvious (it is), why not pursue it and follow through? He gets a taxpayer-funded new stadium, increased return on TV rights, STH, etc - and now he can fall right back into revenue sharing as if nothing happened. Rinse and repeat.I'm sure the people of Florida are happy to have handed over a few hundred million dollars to this team.

If it doesn't cost Xander De La Rosa Barnes or Bradley, I'm all for it. Stanton though is going to get expensive in the next few years

MLB has got to step in at some point in regards to the Marlins.
It's beyond a joke.

Massive deal is in the works, but you would assume MLB is going to take a hard look because of long-term ramifications for MIA market.
actually wouldn't shock me to see Bud pull a "baseball reasons"

This deserves all the love we can give it.
Unfortunately, I suspect the talent barf stops here. The Marlins have to retain *some* surface appearance of interest in long-term competitiveness, don't they?

Haven't seen a 69 win team broken up like this since the '12 Red Sox.
