The bottom of the conference sucks, but I'm not convinced the top four teams in the NFC are better than the top four teams in the AFC.
Does it matter? Some mediocre fucking Giants team will peak at the right time and be able to pressure Brady in the Super Bowl to upset.
Sure.... if by shitty you mean, "lucky and having nothing to do with proving Wilson is now good". Ball just bounced right to him. Anyone on SoSH could have made that INT.
Nice play by Arrington on the coverage though.
There is no way I make that INT. I can't catch it if its tossed gently to me.

Yeah that makes plenty of sense if they're thinking long term

I wouldn't because the pats are built to contend right now, Luck might be a star in 5 years but who knows what the talent around him in New England will look like

Oh. My bad. Didn't realize you were kidding. Didn't detect any humor content, but I'll look harder in the future.
*Yawn*

How do you figure? The defense has 1 guy over 30, Gronk, Hernandez and Ridley are under 25.

because they have one of the most prolific offenses of all time right now, and one of the best coaches ever, its possible Bill is still there in 5 years, and some of Mccoury Jones Hightower etc become what we hope they do, but thats far from a guarantee.

Eh - table's not working, so just go check out the box score.
Turnovers are a bitch, eh Indy?

That said, Luck looks to be a very good NFL QB. I know some were killing him in this thread and while he made many mistakes today, he also looked brilliant in spots. His balls are generally thrown pretty well and he clearly has the ability to elude rushers and he seems to have the combo of a guy who won't give up on a play and someone who doesn't completely force throws. So while taking him now would almost certainly impair the Pats chances of winning in 2012, the thought of him working with Belichick and McDaniels while throwing to Gronk, Hernandez and whomever else the Pats feature the next few years is pretty tempting.
Flame away....

The Pats had 3 fewer drives, and one of their drives was one play. That will throw off yardage, first down, etc. totals.Remarkable how close the offensive stats are in such a blow out.

The Luck for Brady trade idea is interesting even if its total mental wankery. I mean, if the Colts offered a trade straight up right now it might be easy to say no given the way the Patriots are constructed.

I hate to be a buzz kill but I can imagine a day 5 or so years from now when Luck comes back and torches the post-Brady Pats for 50+ points and we go hunting for our 3 Games to Glory DVDs.

Tom Brady is the greatest Patriot ever, and in my opinion, on the Mount Rushmore of Boston sports with Russell, Williams, and Orr. That said, I think you'd have to trade him straight up for Luck. Brady's a lot better in 2012 (and probably 2013), but Luck's more than 10 years younger and makes about a third of what Brady does. Fortunately, no one has to make that decision because Indy would never offer it.The Luck for Brady trade idea is interesting even if its total mental wankery.
