Edes

The Red Sox are expected to decide on their new pitching coach by Tuesday, and new manager John Farrell is "all in" on longtime pitching coach Rick Peterson as his choice, according to a baseball source.

NORM!

(sorry)

As long as they don't let him make roster decisions, then he's a good enough choice.

I assume it means he thinks Peterson's not getting the job. (For those too young to get the reference: Dewey Defeats Truman)

That's what I figured, everyone has been handing Pererson the job the last 24 hours.

I'd love it if they have privately offered Dave Duncan a blank check.

I dunno if Peterson would be my #1 choice, but IF the reports are true that he is Farrell's top pick, I'd be pretty miffed if they overruled the manager who supposedly was going to be the authority in the clubhouse.
