This is going to be a fun ride. Did the ninth inning of Game 3 begin to turn the tide for these guys? Time will tell.
Terry....still positive after 0 - 3. It's sometimes hard to root against the Yankees.

It's easier to root for them when A-Rod is on the bench. I liked tonight's lineup. They're probably not good enough to pull this off but at least the effort will be there.Terry....still positive after 0 - 3. It's sometimes hard to root against the Yankees.

I bet ARod is back in the lineup since Chavez went 0-fer. I'd like to see Gardner back in there, though.

What planet do you come from? It's amazing how Chavez and Jones just lost it. They were supposed to be all stars until their mid/late 30's.

Makes even less sense then that they left him on the bench with Coke on the mound.
Girardi said that he thought DET would have brought Benoit in then, but Michael Kay said in the postgame that since the pitching coach had just visited, DET would have had to leave in Coke for one batter.

"Don't make me play tonight! I got Candy coming back today, Tiffany for Game 5, Lexxie for Game 6, and who knows where I'll be for Game 7. Don't make me play." A-Rod

With no off day, Sabathia can't start Game 7 if they get that far.
Lowe did it in 2004.

Peter Woodfork says postponed.
Nice of them to let everybody sit in the park for that long when they seemed intent on postponing anyway.

Lowe did it in 2004.
True. Maybe Lowe will start this one as well.

This doesn't really help or hurt either team.
Unless it gets to game 7, in which case it decidedly helps DET.

We are now nearly 2 hours past what would have been 1st pitch, and not yet rained in way that would have stopped

I'm heading out to a black tie dinner that was scheduled months ago, to induct my collegiate fencing team and some others (including Bob Kraft) into the Columbia Athletics Hall of Fame. I will bring my little radio, but won't be back here until after the game, and possibly the season, is done.
You were on the '88 fencing team? Damn, that's awesome.

Anyway, congratulations. We'll hold down the cynical and bitter fort here.

Two strikeouts, this one looking. Runners on and you strike out looking?
Granderson could've done that.

Why is Swisher playing again?

Granderson could've done that.
C'mon - Granderson would have at least swung (wildly).
