Bilal Powell is out this week and Joe McKnight looks to be out as well. Per Manish Mehta.

I have no faith in this defense's ability to prevent Mark Sanchez from looking like Peyton Manning.
Old, with a broken bone in his back?

I probably should have added circa 2006

The Jets use of Tebow has been sparse. Am I paranoid in thinking that they have specific Tebow packages that they have been keeping under wraps for this game, similar to how Sparano waited to deploy the Wildcat vs. the Pats?
I am not expecting them to revolutionize football, but the Wildcat certainly caught the Pats off guard that day, they weren't ready for it, had no film for it and couldn't figure out how easily it could be stopped in real time.
Would anyone be shocked to see the Jets attempting to throw bubble screens or something to Tebow and gashing the Pats until they figure it out?

I fear a repeat of the Wildcat game against Miami from several years ago.

Bubble screens? Yes I'd be shocked--if they want Tim Tebow in space with the ball, good for them.
Would I be surprised if they were doing a bunch of pistol, read-option and the like? Not at all. It would be stupid though--if I'm playing the Pats I spread NE out and throw it downfield all game long.

Hopefully it will be lame and stupid and the Pats will blow it up and I will laugh at Fat Rex. I am probably just being paranoid and drawing too much from the Sparano Wildcat game/Tebow on the Jets angle.

I expect them to come out throwing the ball all over the place.

I wonder if Jones lines up on the left to avoid D'Brickshaw, like he did much of the game against Denver. There is a gigantic gap in talent between the left and right tackles of the Jets.
I expect him to line up on the weak side of the line whenever possible so it lessens the possibility of getting chipped by a TE or RB.

If you're going for a quarterback why not sign Hoyer?

Christopher Price @cpriceNFL
Quiet day in the locker room--@FonzieDennard15, Steve Gregory and Matt Slater the only 3 who spoke with the media. Stories coming shortly.
Looks like Gregory is getting close or else he wouldn't be talking to the media and Slater must not be seriously hurt for him to be talking as well.

LOL, they gonna make KOC a captain again too? Please. Jets will try to spread it out and throw, and I can't think of a better way for a young/talented/inexperienced secondary to get some footing/confidence then some Sanchez ducks fluttering towards them. Hill and Keller are the only two options in the passing game, and they won't exactly have to stack the box to stop Greene.

Jets dont get enough pressure or play well enough on 3rd down to really slow down the Pats offense. I think the Jets need 24+ to win.
Sanchez throws for a bunch of yards but mixes in a turnover or two which is the difference.

Also of note: old friend Myron Pryor was on the field. This is the first week PUP players are eligible to practice with their teams. No word on Shiancoe.

So the Pats have a three-week window to decide whether to activate Pryor. Who are the most likely options to go? Carpenter, maybe, once White and Hightower are healthy. Tennant, once Mankins is healthy. Maybe Bequette? I assume Hoomanawanui is gone once Shiancoe is ready to return.Tracy White and Brandon Bolden were the only players not spotted at today's walkthrough.

I'd say Brace potentially could get cut.

Jets S Eric Smith (knee sprain) likely to miss Sunday's game vs Patriots. Expect rookie Antonio Allen to sub in again.

Yep. That's probably the case with Mankins as well. Hightower did not miss practice, so maybe his status for Sunday is looking good.

That's two days in a row for Bolden. Maybe an opportunity for Vereen if he doesn't play? That's also a ST concern, since Bolden has been playing 3 or 4 units all year and White is also hurt.

On ESPN Boston they’ve mentioned such things as Boldens chair has been folded up and all the Pats have had White helmets (Throwback) in the lockers with the exception of a few such as White and Bolden. Going by the "Equipment barometer" doesn’t look good for Bolden (or White)
What did we do before 24 hr news coverage?

No Bolden, Gregory or White. Mankins and Hernandez return.
Bolden is likely out for this week.

Bolden looks to have one crutch behind him in the picture. Also seems to be putting more weight on his right leg than the left.

Patriots are 8 - 3 wearing throwbacks, according to a couple of sites that came back with info? I would have guessed they'd played more like 20 games in throwbacks.

Look, did Patriots push the envelope vs. Denver? No doubt. And refs weren't prepared for it. They adjusted & so did Seattle.

Yeah, because that totally makes up for the fucked-up calls in the Baltimore and Arizona games. I'm STILL pissed about those. The only team that's been comparably screwed by the refs compared to the Pats is the Packers.
If a defense can't keep up with our hurry-up, that's their fucking problem.

One of the Jets reporters is drunk tweeting to a buddy that Rex Ryan has some super shocking plan for the Patriots on defense tomorrow. Says it's the biggest risk of the Rex era, which is saying something. Any ideas? Thinking Tebow at D End.
This is the same team that claimed it was saving a bunch of secret packages for Tebow until the season started, only to barely use him at all when it came time to back up the hype they created.
But for the hell of it, I'll guess Revis playing in a wheelchair.
