The one guy who scares me more than anything is Stephen Hill. He's exactly the kind of WR that has been killing the Pats. If I'm the Jets, I send him deep, then chuck it and pray about 10 times this game. Given the way our secondary has been playing, there's probably at least a 50% chance of a catch or DPI.

Patriots are 8 - 3 wearing throwbacks, according to a couple of sites that came back with info? I would have guessed they'd played more like 20 games in throwbacks.
I think they bust them out twice a season now. They still do give me a bit of the willies at every first view, but that record is very close, percentage wise, to their overall record in the Belichick era. IIRC, there were a few memorable bed-shittings early on after the throwbacks came back that evoked horrifying flashbacks of a time when they were the dregs and run by complete asshats. Maybe it's way the debate over Pat vs. Elvis stays alive. IMO, the old red unis are awesome, and when I think of positive memories of the Pats during my childhood, I remember one time I was watching the Pats with the goofy minuteman dude playing center on their helmuts with my dad on TV, and the Pats threw a 56-3 beatdown on the Jets. My dad, normally a rather staid personality, was utterly gleeful. A similar dismantling would be nice today. Anything can happen, sure, but I'd be a lot more worried if Revis was healthy. He's the one guy who can cover Lloyd consistently - maybe Gronk if necessary.
WIN.

Rookie LB Dont'a Hightower (questionable, hamstring) is testing things on the field with assistant strength coach Moses Cabrera nearby.

People can rationalize the close losses all they want but if the Pats lose today, then it'd be a very strong indicator that this team just isn't very good. I really don't want to face that reality so please destroy this garbage Jets team.
That would be pretty much the first strong indicator of the year that this team is anything but very good. I know people weren't expecting to be 3-3 right now but this team has the best scoring offense in the entire league and a much more explosive defense even if the secondary is still an issue, I just don't get the pessimism.
Pats 38-17.

The pessimism probably comes from the fear that, if the Jets did throw 10 bombs, as suggested above, 5 of them would turn into TDs or DPIs inside the 10 yard line. That would be pretty much the first strong indicator of the year that this team is anything but very good. I know people weren't expecting to be 3-3 right now but this team has the best scoring offense in the entire league and a much more explosive defense even if the secondary is still an issue, I just don't get the pessimism..

It the Pats cannot stop this stiff even with rookies, the defensive coaches should commit ritual suicide.

Jeff Howe @jeffphowe
Starting safeties, based on warmups, are Tavon Wilson and Nate Ebner. McCourty and Arrington are the corners.

I'd agree if the Pats were sliding McCourty or Moore to safety. My opinion re: Chung is that his loss on Pass D will be, at worst, negligible. And the Pats Run D will be fine without him.
I don't know if Ebner is as bad as he looked at the end of the game versus Seattle but this is a guy who was a special teams specialist in college. He's really the best we can do at starting safety (after injuries) in the NFL? Even against Sanchez, it's a pretty underwhelming thought.
Please Bill, how about some aggressive blitzing D today? Pressure Sanchez, don't let him sit there and pick apart this secondary.
Pats win today.

That's probably the game which was switched away from the Pats at halftime because they were ahead by four touchdowns already. Pissed me off.I think they bust them out twice a season now.
