Thanks for taking a look at that. There's really no excuse for them to be stuck in their base defense in such an obvious passing down. Granted, I don't know if it even really matters right now given the available personnel in the secondary. They huddled before the TD. The 3rd and 1 run was the first play after the 2-minute warning and the TD throw was snapped at 1:28 with 11 seconds left on the play clock. The Pats got caught in the wrong package, but not because Seattle hurried them into it, more because (IMO) they didn't think Seattle would take a shot deep and they didn't think the safeties were dumb enough to bite on a double move and let a receiver get behind both of them.

What frustrates me is that this was a very difficult game coming in. Seattle at home is almost as tough as you can get in the NFL...yet they put themselves in position to get an easy win and still fucking blew it.
This 1,000 times.
Going into the season when I played the wins/losses game, I penciled this game and the Ravens game in as losses; the part that is monumentally fucking annoying is they had both games won in the fourth quarter and a combination of the offense not being able to get a first down and the defense not being able to stop the other team resulted in two kick in the balls losses.
That one yesterday was beyond brutal, up 23-10 and some fucking ham and egger quarterback shreds the defense for two touchdowns, the second one was nothing short of pathetic; the ONE fucking thing you cannot do is allow a guy to get behind you, yet that is exactly what happened.
Great game plan by Seattle yesterday; run, run, throw deep and either get a penalty to keep the drive going or watch the keystone cops back there stand around do nothing while the catch is made.
There is still hope for them to get their collective heads and asses wired together as the NFL is nothing short of mediocre this year, specifically the AFC.
They've put themselves in a position where they cannot afford anymore losses like this one and the Ravens loss and for the love of Christ draft/sign/trade for a defensive back next year who can make a play, three years and counting of them having a shitshow of a secondary, they keep pissing away chances to win Super Bowls.
