http://prod.static.p...916_release.pdfNEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS (1-0) vs. ARIZONA CARDINALS (1-0)
Sunday, September 16, 2012 Gillette Stadium (68,756) 1:00 p.m. ET
The New England Patriots will open the home schedule this Sunday against the
Arizona Cardinals. The Patriots have won 15 of their last 17 home openers and boast
a perfect 10-0 record at Gillette Stadium, the longest active winning streak in home
openers. The Patriots aim for their 11th consecutive win in a home opener this week
against the Cardinals.
The Patriots have won five straight games against Arizona, the longest current
winning streak against an opponent for the Patriots. The Patriots have also won five
straight games against Jacksonville, but that streak includes two postseason games.
This week’s game will mark the fourth time, and the first time since 2000, that the
Patriots will play against an NFC team in the home-opener. The Patriots opened the
season in 1978 at home vs. Washington, in 1985 at home vs. Green Bay and in 2000
at home vs. Tampa Bay. In 1996, the Patriots first home game was vs. Arizona.

Not available in parts of western Mass., southwestern VT, and all of Connecticut because of the Giants game. Outside of New England it is available in Colorado, Utah, Arizona, and parts of Nebraska, Wyoming, and Nevada.

Last year, I got to watch all but three games, I think, on the TV. This week, I get the Shittastic Row of Jets, Baltimore, and Indy.

Yep, I remember having to go to the bar a couple times a year because the Giants game would be on instead of the Pats in Amherst. Odd boundary out there.

Western PA/Eastern Ohio also have the Pats game. Thank God Steeler fans want to keep an eye out on relevant rivals, I guess?

I'm getting totally screwed this year by the fucking Vikings. Two weeks in a row they play the same time/network as the Pats.

Christ.
I'm in Minny and wondering where a good place to watch the game on Sunday would be. Thoughts?

The Cardinals suck and are reason #47 that I can't wait to move the family back east.
I think that's enough bitching for now...

Free wifi for those attending the game. Interesting idea, another way to follow other NFL story lines (scores, fantasy players, etc) while at a game but also diverts attention from the product on the field. I would think those interested enough could just follow that information on their 3G/4G network but I do know cell service can be spotty in/around the stadium at game time.
Maybe they don't have unlimited data, or maybe they have a tablet with no 3g. Lots of reasons why free WiFi is good.

This is one of the few times being in the Phoenix TV market actually pays off. I swear to God all I ever see are Cardinals/Seahawks and Chargers/Raiders games.

I'm in the same boat. I been trying to figure out how many times I'll have to go out to a bar and watch a game since I don't have DTV. I think the Bills will be my next excursion to a local watering hole. At least my new Gronk shirt made it's first public appearance last week. Having said that, there are plenty of Patriot friendly bars in my area ( Desert Ridge), I can even reserve a seat at bar in front of the Pats TV as long as I spend $20 which isn't that hard to do.

To your point about diverting from the product on the field - there's a LOT of downtime when you're at the game, so I don't think this is going to be a case of people checking their Facebook on third and one. It will be nice to be able to check highlights, fantasy updates, Twitter feeds, etc during the ubiquitous TV timeouts. And like Nip said, getting any kind of data in or out of Gillette on game day has in the past been a near impossibility.
That being said, this is all secondary to the Pats beating the piss out of the Cardinals

This should be a 2 score Pats victory, Arizona's really not that good (especially on the road) and the Pats front 7 should handle their suspect offensive line. Looking forward to it.

People check Facebook while changing lanes at 70 MPH on I-95. You think third and one will hold their undivided attention?

That said, the Pats, in their home opener, with Kevin Kolb at QB for the Cards . . . this should still be a pretty easy win for the Pats.
Everyone going to the game, have a great time. Nothing beats the 1 pm starts in September with nice weather. Tailgate, beer, food and Patriots football. The best.

Random question - I want to pick up two tickets for the 12/16 49er game, is Stub Hub my best option?
Selling a kidney is your best option, that's going to be an expensive ticket. But yes, StubHub will have the greatest number of (overpriced) seats.

The NFL and its TV coverage can fuck right off. The NEW ENGLAND Patriots aren't available in their own region. Fucktastic fucktards.

You are surprised the CT networks are showing the GMen over the Pats?
