According to WEEI he was the culprit in the clubhouse...

Paging Dr. Charles Steinberg?? I feel this is pure spin from ownership

I feel like the Boston Media has become the Boston Branch of TMZ

It's just baffling how far the clubhouse and the organization has fallen in the past year and a half. Every week there's a new story about something that's going on in the clubhouse or something of the sort. We used to never be able to hear about this sort of thing and I'm sure a lot to do with that is the fact that the players kept their mouths shut to reporters. I wonder why that has changed so much in this season.

Kellly Shoppach will make a fine ML Manager of the Boston Red Sox someday. Either he knew he would be backup to Salty as I bet Kelly followed the entire scenario when Theo so coveted acquiring Salty anyway possible from the Texas Rangers and I bet Kelly followed progress late during the 2010 Season, when the Red Sox did not sign his former Indian catching mate Victor Martinez and and during the 2011 Season while Kelly was sometimes playing for Joe Maddon. Kelly must not be able to afford a cellphone as he had to borrow Adrian Gonzalez's rather than Kelly was using Adrian Gonzalez's so the Owners would look at the text message.

And Kelly and Adrian Gonzalez did not think up the idea of suggesting a trade of Saltalamcchia and Lavarnway as way of throwing off the Owners as to the true author of the text message and to support Kelly's cover story after Kelly's so-called trade to the Mets.

The subterfuge of this scenario qualifies Kelly in every aspect to be a future Red Sox Manager as it takes Kelly's kind of thinking to mislead loyal Red Sox fans in whatever methods necessary to keep the seats at Fenway full, or at least the tickets for seats sold, likely another creation of the architect of this mess, LL.

Respectfully submitted,

Shoppach denied writing the text message, usually I wouldn't believe a player, but then I remember that the Red Sox rehired the dentist/hatchet man during the offseason

This seems to be spin from the FO, or even Bobby V himself.

Heck, Shoppach did not even attend the meeting, so he says.

Shoppachs only crime was the team going 26-16 in his starts and having a team ERA a full run below Saltys. Oh, and asking Bobby V why he had stopped the platoon and how long it would continue (because Bobby V did not bother letting Shoppach know he was changing this)

I'm not trying, and I really don't care.

Nor do I really care that much about Kelly Shoppach. I mean, I wish him and his family well, but he is a largely forgettable backup catcher. In a few years, I'll probably forget he was even on the team.
