I was just curious if anyone had any experiances with World Cup ticketing? I'm going down to Brazil to stay for the duration of the tournament. The World Cup site says you can get all matches including the final for 4000 in the premier section, just curious of you think that is good value?

If you could make every match, it'd be great, but there's no way you get to even a third of the matches. They'll be spread out all over Brazil and transportation will probably be a nightmare. My understanding is that they don't plan to base groups regionally, so you'll have fans traveling in large numbers from, say, Cuiaba, which is a relative backwater closer to the Pacific than the Atlantic, to Salvador on the northeastern coast.

If you are using the trip as a reason to see the entire country, by all means, consider it. But if you're going for the soccer, you might want to look at basing in one region (like Belo Horizonte/Rio/Sao Paolo or Fortaleza/Salvador/Natal/Recife) and trying to see as many games in that region as possible.
