Latvia vs the Netherlands in the men's beach volleyball bronze medal match (MSNBC). The Dutch won the first set, and they're knotted up 19-19 in the 2nd.

USA vs Japan in the women's soccer gold medal match coming on now (NBCSN). It's been 40 minutes of commercials and bullshit hype leading up to it.

Brazil's little comeback had me thinking Reckerman had a concussion from when the ball got spiked in his face, but he came up big when it counted most.

Just saw the rebroadcast of the men's beach volleyball title game. Holy crap, what a match. Excellent work by the broadcast crew on that one, really added to the tension.

The women's boxing Gold medal bouts where great. Nicola Adams wins the Flyweight with a great display against a multiple World Champ from China. Even got a knock down in the second round. Katie Taylor wins the Lightweight gold in a tense affair and then Claressa Shields gets USA's only boxing medal. Next time in Rio there will be six weight divisions for the women. Some great fights and the atmosphere in the arena was off the charts with the Irish contingent taking most of the seats.
