1 PM start, both pitchers pitched very well against the other team in Seattle last week (in different games).

Also, you'll remember that King Felix hit three of the last five batters he faced in that game, Ichiro, Jeter and A-Rod, breaking A-Rod's hand with the last one, so presumably fuses will be short if he throws anything close today.

Just got home, 10 outs on 31 pitches? Way to make him work, guys.

66 pitches through 6 innings. Ridiculous effort by the offense. And Swisher lolly-gagging Thames into a double, puts a big insurance run in scoring position.

Kuroda hits Ryan on his way out of the game.

Cano/Teixeira: 4 pitches

Feel free to take some pitches, middle of the order.

Edit: Of course when he is making pitches like those three to Swisher, you can't take any. Felix is pretty filthy today.

Tip your cap and move on. That's about all you can do.

Cy youngs are great and so are eye popping stats but, to me, you know you are watching an ace when they can consistently come into Yankee Stadium and give the Yankees a whooping. That's what separates the men from the boys. That's a great god damn pitcher and it's a shame his talent is being wasted.

"The last pitcher to win 1-0 while allowing two hits or less in the Yankees' ballpark was Baltimore's Jim Palmer, who pitched a two-hitter on June 1, 1978."

I was wondering who the last person was to do something like that in the stadium. Great find. That really puts things in perspective.
