Tweets from Sox fan: 1) So a guy just got naked in the bleachers. Old Fenway is temporarily back.

2) And fenway security gets talked out of kicking naked guy out and the female security actually takes a pic with naked guys bros

Do Blue Jays migrate? They seem to be around here all year long. I need to hit Wiki now, as this game has slowed to a crawl.

So, they have to win Sunday for a mediocre 4-3 home stand, (barring a miracle in the 9th).

I blame Josh Beckett.

This team is really not that talented and we tend to overrate many of them. Our leftfielder is a case in point. I think after tonight maybe Ben should give Florida a call back.

I really think the FO has to think about a part blow up, semi rebuild here. If Miami wants Crawford, let 'em have him, though I don't know if you want Hanley back. Maybe flip him somewhere else right away. If Atlanta wants Lester, that's fine too. Find somewhere else for Beckett, bring Morales back into the pen, use some of what you can get back from your trades for Garza, not so much for this year as for next year.

I think Middlebrooks should try to honor Tek by striking out on a high fastball to end the game.

...or by simply being unable to run quickly.

Well, if you go this route, I will reiterate I think they should see what offers they might get for Ellsbury. He isn't going to resign in Boston barring a miracle. Frankly, had he been healthy all season, he would likely be a peak trade value right now. At least he is under control for another full season.

Note that I am not advocating trading him - but they should be dangling him and anyone not named Pedroia, Gonzalez and Middlebrooks right now.

I hope this is not his natural speed. ( And I hope the hell he has a better glove than he has shown so far)

Not that we've seen. He was just OK until he pulled his hamstring, and since then he has been slow or worse. He doesn't exactly explode out of the box either.

The Red Sox 2012 don't have any 5-tool players. Gonzalez is a turtle, Middlebrooks is a wombat, and Crawford and Ellsbury can't throw and haven't recovered their power yet.

The 2nd WC will prevent so many teams from making the correct decision to trade marginal guys for prospects and younger players.

Our pretty piss-poor FO I'm certain will trade our prospects for marginal players as we we miss the WC (still) and severely hurt future chances.

I'm so stoked!

Oh definitely Ellsbury. For the reasons you gave. I also don't think his trade value is all that low even with the injury. It might be a little too much to unload both him and Crawford at the same deadline, though.
Add Buchholz to that list of three, and those'd be my untouchables. Everyone else should be available.

With 6 or so teams clustered for 2 wild card spots...the only way to bust through that is a long winning streak. Not sure they have the pitching to make a streak like that happen.
