The Celtics have had talks with representatives of free-agent swingman Mickael Pietrus but have made no offer. With O.J. Mayo and Grant Hill committed to new teams, the market may open up for Pietrus, who is coming off right knee surgery.

I would really like PIetrus to return at the veteran minimum again. guarantee him two years if you need to. He's inconsistent as hell but he when he's motivated and healthy, he's a good defender and a valuable commodity off the bench.

He actually had a really good run in the playoffs, even if he bricked roughly 10,000 threes.

He was much better before his concussion. Maybe he has finally recovered from it.

If Delfino can get lured on the vet. min to replace him, it's an easy call to go in that direction. They are very similar players and are likely mutually exclusive, but Delfino is a bit better at a bunch of things (and a lot better at stealing the ball). If they can't lure Delfino, Pietrus is a nice player to have at the back of the bench and they should make him a vet. min offer, which he would most likely accept.
