Now the only question remains; who heads back to the DL first, our favorite former Ray or our favorite current trade lament?

I'm gonna go with Youkilis, mostly because I have yet to meet a Kevin who isn't a raging asshole, so fuck that guy.

And fuck any of you assholes who attempt to plaster this thread with photos of Youk hugging Pedroia or generally attempt to shine a flattering light on that sweaty, bald fuck and his horseshit goatee. He plays for a shitbag organization, is a threat to eliminating AIDS with a truck and has been responsible for Ras' current bout with insomnia.

Not that I give a wet shit about internet superstar Rasputin, or your silly ass for that matter. Why you ask? Fuck you is why and fuck your stupid questions.

That's why.

I've had at least 10 pm's asking, in fact begging, me to start a hate filled gamethread. The state of this team isn't changing, wins are not coming in droves, our players are full of suck, 100 wins are still in reach, return of the starters will cure everything, Ras stays awake to fight against anyone who is a negative nebob (his insomnia is bullshit) and fuck you.

I hate the way this team plays, how it is managed, how the mediots cover them and how much Quints mom looks fucking terrible in leather. I still hate fuck her though.

C4CVRT and LeoCuntillo can both die in a fuck you.

Fuck all of you.

Thomas Edward John Jr. can suck a dick. Three-first-name-having asshole. Fuck his dad for giving him such a stupid name. (There's also a Tommy John III, so double-fuck the famous one).

Listen up, Tom Ed Johnnys of the world: your names stink and your elbows are bullshit.

I love Dogman2 unconditionally.

I'm pretty ambivalent about Quint, but if they start winning, then I that could change.

I want a sweep of these central division-leading pretenders and I don't care what beloved former Red Sox player is currently on that team.

Also, welcome back Carl. No pressure, we'll be patient for a couple ABs.

Now it gets real.

There are 2 teams standing in the way of the Red Sox and the Playoffs:

Tampa
Detroit/Chicago

It's time to start whipping some Detroit/Chicago ass.

Moose shit would be way worse than dog shit.

You are obviously an urban naive. Moose are vegetarians and their nice big patties don't stink. Don't get me even started about the time recently I realized I'd stepped on dogshit only after I got back in my car and got it on the floor-pad. Dogs are carnivores and that makes for verrrrrrrrrrrrrry stinky shit.

I surely hope Youkilis makes Bobby V look like the shit that everyone knows he is. If not, then I can be very satisfied with a Red Sox win. Win-Win.

Is it too much to ask for someone to foul a ball off of Bobby's throat? Preferably damaging his vocal chords.

Also, may I present to you Darth Sion. A Dark Lord of the Sith whose body has been obliterated several times over, but is held together by the sheer power of his hatred. I feel it is an apt metaphor for this season.

Darth Sion, the Lord of Pain, was a Sith Lord who lived in the time of the Old Sith Wars. As a Sith Marauder in the Great Sith War, Sion fought for Exar Kun's Sith Empire until the day he was struck down. Rather than die, though, Sion found that by calling on his pain, anger, and hatred, he could rise from certain death and achieve immortality, at the cost of all-consuming agony. With a body fractured and decomposing, but held together by the dark side of the Force, Sion survived the Great Sith War.

Chicago White Sox pitcher Gavin Floyd will miss his scheduled start on Monday and is day to day due to tendinitis in his right forearm and elbow, according to White Sox manager Robin Ventura.

Floyd returned to Chicago to have an MRI on Sunday, and it revealed no structural damage, according to Ventura. He will be re-evaluated later in the week.
Dylan Axelrod will start for Floyd against the Boston Red Sox on Monday.

Wow, that's a lot of speed on the lineup turnover. Ciriaco, Ells, Craw.

You can practically envision any of those three guys scoring from first on a two-out Gonzo wall-ball single.

No TV of this game nationally that I can find. Those streaming sites fork up my computer at home, but not the one at work. Not staying at work to find out, but my overwhelming curiosity is what will Crawford's stance look like? They say he closed it up a lot, didn't they? Anyone see any Craw-swing video yet?

It would go a long way towards salvaging this season for me if Carl Crawford could look like a good ballplayer for a few months. Just to give me hope for the next few years.

I'm not asking for MVP-candidate, or even All-Star. I would be happy with an .800 OPS, a couple of steals, and not looking terrified of/confused by the Green Monster every night.

This is reasonable. This is achievable.

I'm very interested in this line-up because it shows that Bobby V is apparently not beholden to the L-R-L-R thing. Four lefties in a row? I think I'm down.
