An inter-team scrimmage? That's one way to ensure a win, I guess.

Nava's not so good against lefties like Lester, so there's that.

" In this sport, as competitive ball players, we get pretty fired up," Padilla said. "So I think, maybe, [Teixeira] picked the wrong profession. I think he'd be better off playing a women's sport."

Well besides the AS game, which really counts as like 10 games because it's so exciting.

I wonder if we see McClure relieved of his duties this week, with Niemann sliding into the job.

“If there was a solution, it would be solved,” he said. “Bob McClure is down there warming them up and bringing them in and they have a game plan. It just seems a lot of guys have struggled in the first inning.”

So Bobby V is Michael Scott, McClure is Jim and Niemann is Dwight.

Bard pitched a clean inning today at Pawtucket with 2 k's. Tazawa struck out the side in the ninth. Buchholz fastball reportedly hit 96.

Saltalamacchia C

Gomez 3B
Aviles SS

Add: Love the Puntolessness, or is it lack of Puntocity

I don't completely despise this lineup but Gomez needs to be elsewhere.

So maybe now that BV has finally listened to us and brought up PC, maybe it's Tazawa's turn to play with the big boys. I know it all depends on lots of contract stuff, but I'd like to see him.

Punto-free lineup. He'd been hitting a little bit. Why not Pedro II at short and Punto at second?

Wouldn't be shocked to see lots of bunts toward third. Lefty Jon won't be much help fielding and half-piroutteing 180 before throwing.

Saw them heading out for dinner in the East Village last summer. She looked phenomenal. He was all walking quick and gollum-like and talking the ear off his bodyguard as she trailed about 6 feet behind alone. Without looking back, he even ducked between two parked cars to beat a light and hot-footed across a yellow on Third Avenue. She had to practically run in her heels to catch up. Good for her for leaving his weird ass.

Just when I thought that this team couldn't be any more dislikable, Padilla provides the Yankees with lockerroom blackboard material. Not classy.

Padilla and classy have never been associated together. Often not even liked by his own team mates, throwing fuel on the fire is not what he of all people should be doing. Just do your job dude.

To be fair, Barbaro started it after Friday's game, which is why we thought he'd get drilled yesterday. I'd be more surprised if Padilla hadn't answered. But the women's sport thing is just unnecessary.

With Gonzo on the singles hit streak, I'd rather see him in front of Papi. Overall, seems about the best lineup we could get out there. Punto has not been horrible, but I don't mind Aviles here.
