My girlfriend has graciously offered her image consulting and/or personal styling services. She has a degree in fashion design, and another in image consulting, and has dressed various professional athletes and Manhattan muckity-mucks to the tune of $500 an hour.

It's really a great service, whether to prepare for a job interview, dress for an important date or function, or just come up with a new look tailored to your build, color, and goals.

This can be done in DC, Philly or NYC, and bidding can start at $50.

No perverts. Seriously.

So this is where you learned all about female hair roots.

I'm in NoVA. Will she come and help me clean out my closet of all the outdated clothes and help me pick outfits that help me come across as more ladylike and professional and less professional cat-ladylike?

Absolutely! She does so-called "closet editing," and can definitely help out, regardless of goals and budget, so long as you spell them out for her.

And MM - no, I learned about roots in law school, sitting in the back of all my lectures.

I just wanted to bump this back up. It really is a great service, and not at all only for millionaires. In fact, she's helped a lot of people get more bang for their buck simply by helping to lay out and coordinate their pre-existing wardrobe to create many different outfits. Anyone going on vacation, going for a job interview, a date, starting school or a new job would get a lot out of this.

What is this thing you call "date"?

I don't know either Rev, but it sounds intriguing. I should try one.

$50

This may well end up the steal of the auction.

I wonder what it would go for if more SoSHer's ettes knew about this.

I thought Rev would be posting a bid in here given his recently revealed personal preferences in actresses.

$75.

I would love to do this, if I lived in the right geographic area. Since most of you all are already sartorial Beau Brummels, you might want to consider that it would be a terrific present for a significant other (unless they are already insecure about their wardrobe choices and would get all indignant and such.)

It would be wasted on me.

Anyway, I've moved on to the bartender. I think she likes me. She asked me what I wanted.

Per request of one of the bidders, let's set this coming Monday, 7/16, as the deadline for bidding.

If you've met me in person, you'd understand why I'm bidding $100.

Calling this at 5 for DukeSox unless there are any other bids. MDL - I was pulling for you, would've been relieved if this had gone to one of the 3 people from this place I've spoken with. Duke - if you win, PM me your location and we'll set it up. I assume you're not still in fair Durham.

I demand this bid be put back in. Alternatively, Duke, be a mensch, and match the withdrawn bid... I don't want to see the number in my spreadsheet go down
