This should be less of a slug-fest than last night's game. Kuroda has turned out to be a solid acquisition for the Yankees, and Peavy has been having a pretty good season for the White Sox.

The NY pitching staff is such a mess now that they sent down Warren and brought up DJ Mitchell, who not only has a 5+ ERA (albeit while showing sporadic signs of being an asset), but he threw 103 pitches on Tuesday, so would be going on 3 days rest today if they need him.

Eh, I would be surprised if the Yankees needed Mitchell today. Kuroda is pretty efficient. But, who knows. The White Sox might be on one of their offensive tears.

We are officially at the point in ARod's decline where the cameras on YES focus on Curtis Granderson's frozen blue blow pop instead of an ARod K.

Dewayne Wise: he pretends to field, he pitches, he hits. Quite a week for him.

Awesome outing for Kuroda, a season high 11 Ks (previous high of 8), and only 3 hits allowed, only 1 after the first inning. Hopefully he's done now, 107 pitches through 7 on a hot day.

Ah, now you use Robertson, in a 4 run game.

Soriano? Really? Up 4-0, 1 out, and a guy on first? Not Eppley? Very puzzling bullpen use this series.

Girardi doesn't take many chances with the bullpen after losing a couple of games in a row.

The same was said about Pete Rose.

Kuroda has given up a total of nine earned runs in his last seven starts, a 1.65 ERA and a .938 WHIP, 46 Ks in 49 IP, including the 11 today which tied his career high.

Orioles lose, lead back to 5.
