Their closer, Chris Perez, is 23-for-24 saving games this season. The bullpen is tied for fewest blown saves (4). Their starters go pretty deep into games. Quality starts is a bogus stat but Cleveland in third in the AL with 40, five more than Boston and New York. Justin Masterson is eighth in the league in innings pitched (97.1) and Derek Lowe is 18th with 90 innings. Both are on pace for more than 200 innings this season.How is a team with a -42 run diff and such a shitty bullpen outperforming their pythag record by 6 wins?
