We have a machine attached to our desktop PC that can print documents and photos, scan documents, and send faxes. Unfortunately, the machine is a piece of shit.

I want to buy equipment and/or software to replicate these functions in a cost-effective way, and I'm here for advice. We use the PC for both home and office, but the office use is light (my wife has a part-time law practice).

We have 3 Epson Work Force 845's at our office and love them, usually can find them at Staples or Best Buy on sale for $150.
