Bottom line is this.

Atlanta bores me. And annoys me. And I hate the tomahawk chop. Almost as much as I hated this team being named our “natural rival” back in the day.

But now I look up and Eric Hinske is coming back to Fenway? Ugh.

Scoring three in the bottom of the eighth last night to take the lead? I didn’t hate that.
Middlebrooks going yard? Didn’t hate that.
Aceves with a clean inning? Didn’t hate that either.

Atlanta has dropped 7 of 10. They need to lose again. We need to remind them. We need to beat it into them on Friday night.

Bats. We need them. Pedey was 0-5 last night. Aviles and Papi both 0-3. All were cold. In a slump. And what do we need when were in a slump? More home cooking. That's what.

I was at Fenway a few years back for a game against the Braves. Sat next to some Braves fan the whole game. About the fourth inning paramedics were called, because those guys were so quiet the whole game people behind us thought they had died.
I hate casual fans with the liquifiable assets to travel 1000+ miles, pay Boston hotel rates, buy good decent RF box tickets, all for a game or team they barely care about at all.

Youk is about to become the new Mkey Lowell. Sitting farther and farther down the dugout. He'll run out in between innings to warm up the pitcher while Salty or shop gets their gear on. He'll also be the designated ceremonial First Pitch catcher. Handing in a clean uni every night after the game. Just sad. I'll miss Youk.
