Another rematch from last week, a game NY won 3-2 on a 2 run HR by Granderson.

NY's 10 wins in a row ties the longest streak of the Jeter/Pettitte/Rivera era (including 1998, amazingly enough). The last time they won 11 in a row was 1985, and guys like John Candelaria, Dave Righetti, Ed Whitson, Phil Niekro and Rob Guidry all got Ws along the way.

Welcome back, Nick Swisher. Great take on the pitch right before his double, a tough 2-2 pitch that broke below the zone.

Hard not to like Chipper Jones.

Saved a run there as Grandy guns down Heyward at third for the third out before Chipper crosses home. Yanks are making all the smart plays. I imagine it will end some day.

Chipper's reflexes not so good anymore. Tie game on an E5 after a E3 got things rolling here in the fourth.

Hudson had to throw 40 pitches in the fourth, thanks to 2 errors by his infielders. He's at 91 pitches thru 4.

That's two at bats in a row where Cano has swung at the first pitch.

Hudson is on the ropes with his pitch count, why not make him work?

Cano has a 1.213 OPS coming into tonight when he puts the first pitch into play, 4 HRs in 45 ABs, you should probably let him decide when to swing. :)

Too much pitching around guys by Kuroda these last few innings, it hurt him in the 4th.

And it hurt him again here, that was a bullet.

This isn't something you see too often:

"Jason Heyward singles on a sharp ground ball to shortstop Derek Jeter, deflected by first baseman Mark Teixeira."

And no, Jeter wasn't shifted, Heyward hit it that hard.

Kuroda needs one more out to keep NY's streak of SPs going at least 6 innings going, this would be the 18th in a row.

The 1939 Yankees would win a game like this one. 5 o'clock lightning at 10 p.m.
