NY's 10 wins in a row ties the longest streak of the Jeter/Pettitte/Rivera era (including 1998, amazingly enough). The last time they won 11 in a row was 1985, and guys like John Candelaria, Dave Righetti, Ed Whitson, Phil Niekro and Rob Guidry all got Ws along the way.

Hudson is on the ropes with his pitch count, why not make him work?

That's two at bats in a row where Cano has swung at the first pitch.
Hudson is on the ropes with his pitch count, why not make him work?
Cano has a 1.213 OPS coming into tonight when he puts the first pitch into play, 4 HRs in 45 ABs, you should probably let him decide when to swing.

"Jason Heyward singles on a sharp ground ball to shortstop Derek Jeter, deflected by first baseman Mark Teixeira."
And no, Jeter wasn't shifted, Heyward hit it that hard.
