I am tired and cranky.
If you think I am a crusty sonofabitch normally, tired and cranky Ras may just be a revelation to you all.
Also, fuck baseball, fuck Miami, fuck the Marlins, fuck that monstrosity.
But hey, this winning thing hasn't been all the good to us lately so what say we lose?

As opposed to be god-awful. WTF has happened? (That's rhetorical.)

Even better, McKeon got all bitchy after the 14 run 1st, 25-8 hammering and how unprofessional it was to run up the score. The next day the Sox are up 9-2 in the 8th and LOSE 10-9. Of course, stars align for the Marlins from there on.Remember that one time the Red Sox hung like 15+ on then Florida Marlins and we had to apologize? Do that again.

Clay Buchholz, of course!

What in the world was he thinking? Just standing there! Definite brain freeze. After Gonzalez's mental lapse after the 9th-inning walk last night, tonight would be a good time for a day off.

Passed ball or WP (not sure which) but it rolled away from the catcher to the right side of home plate, quite far away. Adrian was on first but stood there. I think he had a clear view of the ball and would have easily taken second but did not even attempt to try. This was in the 9th after he got on with his first walk in over 100 PA against Heath Bell.I turned the game off at 4 - 0 (quitter, I know). What did Gonzo do?
EDIT: They were down 4-1 at that point, obviously the score doesn't matter it was more the mental lapse but just pointing it out .

I haven't gotten more than 4 hours sleep since the Celtics lost. I'm not even mad anymore, just exhausted.
Well, have you thought about trying something FDA approved?

I was at that second game, SRO on the monster. Juan Pierre made a diving catch in center and doubled up Varitek at second to end the game. I was sad.

I mean, really
1. Alex Presley (L) LF
2. Neil Walker (S) 2B
3. Andrew McCutchen ® CF
4. Casey McGehee ® 1B
5. Matt Hague ® DH
6. Pedro Alvarez (L) 3B
7. Jose Tabata ® RF
8. Rod Barajas ® C
9. Clint Barmes ® SS
That there is your first-place lineup. McCutchen is terrific, but then ...

I was referring to the walk in a sarcastic tone. Like it happened by accident, just standing there. However, you are right about the WP and not taking second. Maybe he was blocked, I dunno. But didn't look like he saw it and just stood there at first. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt because he was surprised to be at first after a walk anyway! Gonzo will bounce back today.Passed ball or WP (not sure which) but it rolled away from the catcher to the right side of home plate, quite far away. Adrian was on first but stood there. Best power hitter on the bench and we can't string enough singles together from the rest of that lineup. You never know but hard to get pumped about that. Hate inter league. Nava still hurt with the mystery hand injury. Have fun at the game gatorgurl67 and enjoy the Cuban sandwiches!!6/12 at MIA: Podsednik CF, Pedroia 2B, Youkilis 1B, Middlebrooks 3B, Gonzalez RF, Shoppach C, Aviles SS, McDonald LF, Buchholz

It was only spring but it was the last week of camp and Buchholz was not ready for the season ahead. Pitch around him Clay because Giancarlo will be drooling. Win this game and then the series on Wednesday because you can.

Did Nava die and they just buried him out back without telling anyone? No DL stint? No announcement. Just never seen again.

Cortisone shot on Sunday. Apparently it can leave you sore, so he might be fine?

Yeah. But no one ever came out and said how he injured his thumb/hand. Just something happened before the game on Saturday. Other than that, it's Top Secret.Cortisone shot on Sunday. Apparently it can leave you sore, so he might be fine?

Yeah. But no one ever came out and said how he injured his thumb/hand. Just something happened before the game on Saturday. Other than that, it's Top Secret.
Now this is true. Especially the thumb/hand bit since everyone has said a different body part. Maybe he has a concussion?
Soon the Sox should just take a book out of the hockey playbook and say "upper body injury".
