If this is to be our end, then I would have them make such an end, as to be worthy of remembrance.
Came here to post this exact quote. Nicely done.

Pierce is putting up the type of shooting numbers that everyone loves to kill Kobe for.
Paul needs to drive inside and try to get to the line. Cannot keep shooting pathetic bricks from outside like for most of this series. Don't need his "hero ball" or coming out with 4 first quarter 3 pointers as he did in Game 6.
Time for the CAPTAIN to play a great game and bring the Celtics to the Finals...

In fairness, his legs are proper fucked. If Paul Pierce can somehow manage not to continue one of the WORST shooting series for a player taking over 100 shots then the C's have a chance.

They've not exactly been the beacon of accuracy so far. May their dart board guessing game backfire once more.Holy shit, the ESPN crew is BURYING the Celtics right now. They don't think this is gonna be any closer than 20 points.

At 2-0 it was OMG THE HEAT ARE AN UNSTOPPABLE JUGGERNAUGHT then it got to 3-2 and OMG THE HEAT ARE SO BAD THEY WILL NEVER WIN ANYTHING BECAUSE THEY CAN'T PLAY AS A TEAM AND THEY SUCK SO MUCH YOU GUYS and now it's 3-3 and OMG LEBRON IS CHRIST INCARNATE THE CELTICS ARE SO OLD AND THEY SUCK AND THEY HAVE NO ANSWER FOR HIS GREATNESS.

I am with some others in that I haven't wanted a game this much in a while. I guess the Superbowl (yeah, we are spoiled) but this feels different. KG is probably my second favorite Boston athlete from the past 10 years or so behind Pedro. Given the way he's played this season, it would be shame for it to end right here.
Win. I don't care if its a 1 point margin and requires us fans to have a heart-attack ending while Wade takes another three with time going off the clock. Just get it done.

Magic Johnson's argument, summarized: "Great players make great plays, LeBron's gonna win."
I just can't get past the fact that four studio analysts have been placed in a studio for the purpose of analyzing a game, and they do just about zero analysis. It's as if they're only allowed to watch the last game these teams played. Then they cut to Van Gundy and he actually analyzes what the teams are going to do tonight like it's a novel fucking concept.

Michael Wilbon's argument, summarized: "The Celtics have huge swings in play. They're good one day, terrible the next. So they have no chance tonight."

Mike Wilbon, Stephen A Smith, and others on their "expert" panel were claiming the Heat dead in buried going into game 6. So much so, that the "Magic 8 ball" question was: should anyone be fired if the Heat lose tonight? What a complete joke ESPN has become with their over the top segment sponsorships of everything. Pathetic. These "experts" will be wrong again and then have no choice but to say, " the Celtics have the heart of a champion and we can't discount that!"

Fuck ESPN pre-game. If you have NFL Network, they're showing the Pats-Colts AFC Championship Game from the 2003 season. Good omen?

This pregame show is absolutely horrendous. It's the most reactionary pregame I've ever heard, it's like a bad game thread.
