France to win, England to not even get out of their group. Such thoughts would have been punishable by a trip to the Tower in days of yore, now it's realism.

Rule Britannia, Britannia rules the waves, Britons never never never shall be slaves!
Except when they are bussed into London at 3am in the morning, forced to sleep under London Bridge and then work a 14 hour shift as stewards for the Jubliee celebrations with no access to toilet facilities - and don't get paid for it because it's all in the name of 'work experience'...
Once I've got down off my high horse, I'll be in.

If England played the USA in a seven match series how many would England win?
3-3-1 to England.
The USA has gotten much better in the last generation, but let's not kid ourselves--Dempsey, Landycakes, and maybe Cherundolo are the only Americans who would contend for the English XI. Howard and Bocanegra would make the 23, but beyond that, only a healthy Holden would even get a sniff.

Where are we game-threading? ESPN's open is an over-produced dreamy shlockfest with lots of fire.

If England played the USA in a seven match series how many would England win?
Assuming both sides were full strength, England 4, USA 1 Draws 2
We actually qualified for the Euros quite easily, and I don't think the US are any better than the strongest teams in the group England came through.
