I think I saw Hollins playing Pizza Hero

They wouldn't hire him, Domino's employees are required to deliver.

Celtics just have too many injuries right now, added on to the fact they lost their 6 man before the season and their best bigman off the bench to heart problems.

Partly. Bass and Rondo were horrendous tonight. KG, too, for most of the game. They can, and have done, better.

Hard to understand how 4 Celtics have taken more shots than Pierce tonight.

Double teams and traps on the wing. Philly played great defense tonight!

Do not let it be said that nothing good came of this game. Well done.

And if Stiemsma is physically capable of standing and remains on the bench in favor of Hollins in Game 7, fuck everything.

IDK. Pick your poison. Hollins is a much better defender on the p&r and in space which is one of Philly's strengths. Had a bad night offensively but is Stiemsma your answer there? Not so sure.

First game I didn't think they should have won. Feel like they are going to win this series 6 games to 1.

You knew this was coming. The Big 3's window has officially closed with that injury (not like they had much of a chance anyways). Just win Game 7 and spend the next 2 weeks taking shots at Wade and LeBron.

If I had told you on Christmas Day that the Celtics were about to play a game 7 in the conference semis, at home, but had just lost Avery Bradley, which some were considering a death blow, would you believe me?

That was seriously one of the most painful basketball games ever. If Rocco were still alive, he'd be starting a panic thread right about now. I'd give the Sixers some credit for playing good D but the truth is that the C's played like they should be extras in The Walking Dead tonight. Even Rondo looked like shit.

Fucking awful...

Only upside is they played as poorly as humanly possible and were still kind of sort of in it. That's all I got. The Bradley news pretty much seals their fate.

They can beat Philly and Miami without Avery, maybe even San Antonio. But they need him for OKC 100%.

Wow, that's not good. Hard to see how C's match up with anyone else without Bradley.

Especially since they seem to run out of energy once or twice a series. In Cs defense, it wasn't just them - Philly didn't seem to have much energy either until they figured out that one of their guards could take Allen or Pietrus off the dribble every time.

And when Doc runs Ray out there, I wonder if he's thinking that maybe if he gets lucky he can catch lightening in the bottle, or whether Doc just sees someone from three years ago.

Not pretty.

That stinks, but Gary Washburn calling him a "potential franchise cornerstone" is a bit much.

Nobody had any trouble getting past Rondo either. He's got to step up, along with KG and Bass to win a game 7. But with this Bradley news it really doesn't matter. We can't beat MIA, OKC, or SA anyway.

I don't see how that's a huge stretch. The dude is an amazing defender, is 21 yo, and over a period of several months shot 40% from 3 and was a great backdoor cutter. He's not D Wade or Lebron, but he is a huge piece for the future for this team.

I don't think there's any chance the Celtics could beat Miami without Bradley. They play just as good defense as Philly and have 2 profilic scorers instead of a bunch of turds. Wade would go nuts against Ray/Pietrus.

What is certainly true is the Celtics have no chance of doing anything unless Rondo brings it every game. The other guys are too old to play cat and mouse anymore. Plus it is frustrating as fucking hell to watch.

For the record, the Philly crowd wasn't nearly as loud or angry as I thought they would be, and KG wasn't booed very loudly when he touched the ball. Of course, that the Cs had their heads up their asses most of the night may have played a role in that. There were also a lot more Boston fans than I expected based on how the TV cameras had captured the crowd in previous games.

After having seen the Pats and Celts in Philly in the last year, I'm convinced that the urban legend around Philadelphia fans being the meanest and nastiest fans in sports is massively overblown. Yeah, they booed Santa and cheered Cowboys injuries...a long time ago.

Yup, this is a tiny FN to the whole story. I'm glad the Cs have an extra day off before Game 7 but for me, that game can't come fast enough. When was the last time the Cs' offense was out of sync for an entire game? Credit the D but damn, they missed a lot of open looks and just were in slow motion most of the night.

I was gonna go for Game 5, and I'm willing to give for Game 7. I will come up with something inspirational tomorrow morning anyway.

Give me a chance if possible. If I wake up at 10ish and there are no posts, I will take up your approval. I am coming out of retirement here.
