Winning couldn't hurt.

Baby steps first, lets hope Buch gets his ERA from above 9 to around 8 tonight.

I can't think of anything positive to say.

I'll just suggest that with [He sucks] pitching, and a bullpen that had to carry the load again tonight, we may want a meme to keep this interesting. Just in case.

Losing it meme? I submit for consideration "Losin' It," that semi-crappy '80s flick with Tom Cruise, Shelley Long and the great John P. Navin Jr. (back seat, behind Cruise).

Up to you guys, but I'd say snowball off Navin Jr.

I'm abroad, so I haven't been watching the games... but HOLY SHIT is this bad. I'm very close to thinking they should blow it up.

The Red Sox are losing my religion, and I say that as an atheist (except where baseball is concerned).

So this is what it feels like to be a Mets' fan.

The Mets have a winning record and are only one game back in their division.

Sigh.

Only Minnesota and San Diego are worse. It would be comical if I didn't subject myself to the absurdity.

I have been waiting so long, trying to be strong
But I guess you can't build a dream upon
That lost horizon

Edit: From the Wikipedia entry for Moby Grape
As described by Jeff Tamarkin, "The Grape's saga is one of squandered potential, absurdly misguided decisions, bad luck, blunders and excruciating heartbreak, all set to the tune of some of the greatest rock and roll ever to emerge from San Francisco. Moby Grape could have had it all, but they ended up with nothing, and less."[

On April 28th, the Red Sox were 10-10.

On April 29th, I was sacrificed to BABIP.

The Red Sox lost that day, and have gone 2-9 since.

Today, I'm back from the dead - and so will be the Red Sox.

Only those who ever loved you say
That your warm and lovely gentle way
Could leave a guy in tears
Could wreck his life for years
I know I'm lost for sure now

...
I guess you'd call it cowardice
But I'm not prepared to go on like this

I cant, I cant, I cant stand losing
I cant, I cant, I cant stand losing
I cant, I cant, I cant

...

I cant see the point in another day
When nobody listens to a word I say
You can call it lack of confidence
But to carry on living doesnt make no sense

I cant, I cant, I cant stand losing
I cant, I cant, I cant stand losing
I cant, I cant, I cant stand losing
I cant, I cant, I cant stand losing
I cant, I cant, I cant stand losing
I cant, I cant, I cant stand losing

Lost Love

Love never dies a natural death. It dies because we don't know how to replenish its source. It dies of blindness and errors and betrayals. It dies of illness and wounds; it dies of weariness, of withering, of tarnishing.
