Against my better judgment, but under the advisement of others, I am starting the game thread.

The reason I am doing this is because, despite massive interest in Buchholz's start, I will not be able to watch it as I would like.

May the power of irony compel you!!

Wasn't Cook supposed to be like our final hope or something to salvage our SPing this season?

That turned out real well. I have faith that Buch will turn in a better start but not by much.

Still the bats will come out because while he may allow the O's to put up big numbers, for some reason the bats love to come alive on our side to support Clay when he's on the mound.

Win it 12-11 I say, a win is a win is a win.

Ugh Booby, why throw a slumping Aviles at the top of the lineup. I grow less and less confident in B5's abilities as a manager with every game that passes.

You don't think a .631 OPS belongs at the top of a lineup?

Jenny Dell @JennyDellNESN
Andrew Miller here-his rehab window would have expired after today. Aaron Cook to DL. #RedSox

Should be fine how. Miller is a big lefty who can throw hard.

Time to wake up, get off your asses and play to win. Get it done, Clay - bring your good stuff.

GO SOX - WIN TODAY!

I just can't grasp why they spend so much time and energy making sure they can hold on to Andrew Miller. He's beyond awful.

14 walks in 11 AAA innings. 5.73 ERA.

Does not speak well of this organization.

I agree with FR. Andrew Miller, why?
Oh well. Last year I got into posting this:

Expect Nothing

Expect nothing. Live frugally
On surprise.
become a stranger
To need of pity
Or, if compassion be freely
Given out
Take only enough
Stop short of urge to plead
Then purge away the need.

Wish for nothing larger
Than your own small heart
Or greater than a star;
Tame wild disappointment
With caress unmoved and cold
Make of it a parka
For your soul.

Discover the reason why
So tiny human midget
Exists at all
So scared unwise
But expect nothing. Live frugally
On surprise.
-------Alice Walker

It couldn't hurt.

I understand the roster moves and rules and all that, but to have Miller up while Tazawa is in AAA is just infuriating.

You must have missed my post where I explained that he is a tall lefty who can throw hard. Think Randy Johnson.

If Nick Punto's batting leadoff again I am going to take a pen and stab my eye with it.

Yo Buch,

John Lackey is NOT a role model. Just because you're winning doesn't mean you're good.

Cut that shit the fuck out.

Sincerely,
AfY

To be fair, odds are good that both Morales and Miller will be used as hi-leverage setup guys.

Hill is the only LOOGY.

After yesterday's pukefest, I spent all last night on the ledge. I mean it, I slept there. I've gotta tell you, it's might uncomfortable on that ledge. I only came back in because my tv won't fit out there and my computer's out of juice. Please Red Sox, win today so I don't have to spend another night on the ledge.

Thank you for the best reason yet to get off that ledge.

991 plate appearances with a .303 OBP against RHPs, and we keep putting Aviles in the leadoff spot against them.
