Admittedly, some of those principal characters not around anymore. But if there is a cohesive team still left/to be found in the Sox clubhouse, a series against the O's ought to rile them up.

I take some solace in the fact that there is much cross over between the Orioles and Ravens fan bases, and at the memory of the thoroughly deflated Ravens fans leaving Foxboro last January. Good times, if not short lived.
In any event, there's no time like the present. Win tonight, Red Sox.

It would be nice to rip the Orioles to shreds this weekend. The Sox need wins. The Orioles indeed knocked the Sox out of the playoffs last year and then celebrated as if they were something more than a last place team. And as evidenced by the above, many of their fans are flaming dickheads.

flaming dickheads? lol. your team comes into baltimore, and thousands of redsox fans act like its their ballpark. booing when an o's pitcher throws over to first. turning every lets go o's chant into a lets go sox chant?
and we are the dickheads? you sir need a reality check. you root for villians.

and just by the way, it only took about 4 years before redsox fans became more despised in baltimore than yankee fans. the best is the adorable redsox fans who show up to o's yankees games and wear their redsox stuff. lol.
Keep this guy around. He knows stuff.

because prior to 4 years ago, red sox fans did not exist. i feel so dumb.
edit: or maybe it was baltimore that didn't exist prior to 4 years ago. hadnt even thought of that.

they existed sure. if they stayed home i might even admire them. but too many show up in bmore for that to happen. I am saying from 2005-to 2009 your reputation was trashed, at least in one city.

Are they going to get this one in? Forecast calls for 60% chance of rain around gametime, and I'm driving up from NY in an hour or two.
It's not raining yet and it's supposed to be around 50-60% chance all day. I've got tickets too but ironically I'm leaving Boston for the summer tomorrow so I'm just as nervous as you are. I don't know if you should make the trip but if it gets called they may play the DH tmrw, which your ticket would then be good for.

A late change in the Orioles lineup for tonight.
Robert Andino will be leading off, batting cleanup and pitching.
Someone in the rotation needs to step up. We need a "Who's Robert Andino?" moment.

Perhaps if Orioles fans still existed, you could fill your own ballpark and not have to deal with the opposing fans who care more than you do.

The O's honor was lost when they celebrated game 162 last year like they were going to the playoffs.

But let's fatten him up first. Wonderful to have you here, PCCP! Would you describe yourself as more of a roaster or a fryer?
In other news, I just got offered tickets to tonight's game. Woot!
And in other other news, I am told the anthem is going to be performed by the girls' a cappella group from my son's high school. He just graduated two years ago, so a couple of his friends are still in the group. Nice kids. They are pretty good musicians, so they should do fine as long as nerves don't mess them up.

for about 6-7 years now you guys have been kicking our ass and embarassing us in our park-- oops fenway south. manny slapping a sox fan after catching a ball. mannys 500th hr. daniel cabrera.
it felt righteous for o's fans to get some measure of redemption. what were the orioles supposed to do, not be excited they played spoiler in the bottom of the 9th with two outs? its robert andino.
im sorry feelings were hurt, but our feelings have been hurt for years by the redsox. mannys 500th hr was so depressing.

Congratulations to the foul mouth troll whose team is heading for their 15th straight sub .500 season, without getting their ticket punched.
I'd say smash the Orioles and make him cry, but I doubt he has any tears left. So, let's just beat the Orioles. Maybe we can celebrate like we just won the World Series after the win, just like they did.

I would like to win tonight's game, whatever the opponent. So, AG, try to remember how to hit with risp, okay? Or, even better, BV, switch your lefties in the order. Not only is Ortiz hitting better, but he's faster.

This guy doesn't bother me. His team is winning now, he feels good. But this argument about the opponent's fans just doesn't hold water. Let the Baltimoreans fill the stands, no tickets left for furriners.

A quote for our good buddy Nick Markakis tonight:
Bunk: Them Greeks sure have some weird-ass names.

Bunk: Yeah, and ass-fucking, too.
Fuck Baltimore. Win.

I mean I can't even believe I have to say this but you know Camden being filled with Sox and Yankee fans says more about you than it does us, right?
what exactly does it say? I mean, Baltimore only has about 600,000 people living in it. you have a team 30 miles to the south, and a team 90 miles to the north.....
and about half of the residents are poor african americans. they aren't buying season tickets.
i go as often as I can, but do you really blame casual fans for not sinking 2000 dollars in orioles games when they haven't been able to field a good team in years?

It's not my fault I, as a Sox fan, can walk right up to the box office and get seats two rows up in left for 30 bucks a half hour before first pitch. That's the fault of the Baltimore "fans".

My "flaming dickheads" assessment is looking better and better!and about half of the residents are poor african americans. they aren't buying season tickets.
The argument that visiting fans should dial it down and recognize that they're guests in another team's park -- an argument the CHB advanced a while ago -- makes me laugh.
And it's definitely not a theme that the Ravens fans who trekked to Foxboro for playoff games in 2009 and last year absorbed, not that they should have.
Plunk down the cash, make the trip and support your team. That's the risk that the locals take when they don't buy up tix or sell them on Stub Hub.

it is your fault if you act like a rude asshole. which too many do.
i don't mind talking to other baseball fans from other cities. but this exercise in " lets pretend we are at fenway" rubs people the wrong way.
