I'm trying to mod Thief Gold (props to GOG.com) and the fix patch is 7-zip. I can't seem to extract the thing. I downloaded 7-zip, but that was seemingly a dead-end. Any help would be appreciated.

WinRAR will do it. If you have a Windows OS that is.

peazip will handle them and almost any other archive/compression format, on Windows, Mac, Linux, and many other OSes.

are you sure the download/file is complete? (is there a md5 you can compare to?)
7-zip should do it assuming the file isn't corrupt.
Perhaps contact their support to get a hash if they haven't provided it already?

PEBKAC

It wouldn't even let me access my drives when using 7-zip. I had to put the file on a usb stick and when I would choose to extract it would just copy the file to the new location.

I'll try WInRAR and report back.

After you install 7zip, you should just be able to right click the file, select the 7zip menu, and chose where to extract (From Windows Explorer).
