Matt Grzelcyk(BU, #5, D) was a 2nd round pick in 2012 for the Bruins.
Teddy Doherty(BC, #4, D) was a 1st round pick in 2012 for the Panthers
Kevin Hayes(BC, #12, F) was a 1st round pick in 2010 for the Blackhawks
There are also a few other 3rd-4th round picks on the rosters.
Also of note is that if Jerry York needs 1 win to tie Ron Mason at 924 and 2 to pass him for the most wins as a coach in collegiate hockey history. BU's Jack Parker is currently #3 with 884

Like that game in some distant future when Chara and Hamilton will stand together at the blue line with their arms outstretched screaming YOU CANNOT PASS.

I mean, with a trip to the Stanley Cup Finals on the line the Bruins didn't allow the Lightning to even touch the puck inside their blue line the final 3:00. Amazing.

This is basically the first live hockey I've watched since the Stanley Cup. Goddamn I miss it.

Mary Trent says she was shocked by the behaviour of the Lowe’s Toronto Christmas Market Santa Claus as her son approached him. After Santa arrived a half hour late for his appearance, he proceeded to insult the boy’s red plaid coat.
“The first thing he tells my son is, ‘Oh, you look like Paul Bunyan,’ ” she said. “Really? Is that appropriate?
“Then he said, ‘Oh, you’re wearing a Toronto Maple Leafs tuque, you shouldn’t be wearing that, they suck.’ At that point, I took my son and told him we should go, Santa isn’t being very good today.”
Trent said her son was inconsolable and cried all the way home to Mississauga.

Hamilton's still been iffy with his d awareness but Griffith is making a noticeable impact on every one of his shifts.
Gold-colored glasses translation - Griffith is going to be an all-star Datsyuk-level draft steal while Hamilton is coasting because he expected to be in Boston and won't shine until he is challenged by real men.

Colby took the lead early in the 1st period and went up 4-1 in the 2nd period, putting Tufts in a hole out of which the Jumbos could not climb.
That is the trouble with Jumbos. Too heavy to climb out of holes...
I'm too old and, well, Momlike to make a Mom joke here, others will have to step up...

An exasperated Eddie Olcyzk yelling "gotta get him out of there!" 2 seconds after Ference scored basically confirmed beyond any reasonable doubt Olcyzk was rooting for Vancouver.
Eat shit, Eddie.
Eddie's insistence that Bergeron pushed in his goal was one of the most insane things I've ever seen from a sports commentator. The ratcheting up of Edzo's butt-hurt was a thing of beauty and Pierre eating his lunch on the analysis was even better (e.g. LaPierre bailing out).
"you've seen some miraculous comebacks...". Hahaha.

I'm taking it Monday afternoon out of South Station down to Philly for work. How soon before hand should I show up? Anything I should know to make the trip more enjoyable?

If you're going in the afternoon, the sun sets on the right side of the train, so depending on whether you want to see the sunset or avoid it, choose your seat accordingly. When boarding, make the walk further up toward the front of the train, less people do that so those cars fill up last (although none fill up completely at South Station). Feel free to bring food/drinks on board. The internet sucks so you can't rely on it, but they have power outlets at all the seats which helps.
It's really very easy and comfortable to ride on, especially compared to flying.

Get there about 15 mins before. They don't start boarding until about10 mins before departure, so no need to sit around. You literally just walk up, show your ticket, and walk on. Takes 2 seconds.

Do you they have a drink/food cart or anything? Or should all food/beverages be provided by myself?
With no direct flights out of Boston to Philly, this was a no-brainer.

Edit: Cafe Car Menu
#1393
Posted 11 December 2012 - 12:41 PM
Yeah there's a cafe car in the middle of the train. Normal drinks (water, soda, coffee, juice), beer, liquor, wine. Prices are ok. The food is pretty bad though, I wouldn't count on that for anything but snacks, certainly not for a full meal of food. I'd advise bringing a sandwich or something along if you're looking for dinner.
Edit: Cafe Car Menu
Awesome, thanks. The company card pays for everything, so prices don't matter. Duly noted on bringing my own sandwich, though.

I have to say $1mm seems cheap, given how iconic the moment was.
