Oh Washington, did you really want to go here? Your litany of Game 7 failures is well known to everyone. Even if you don't believe me, look at the replay of the Seguin goal and the reactions in the stands. They know. They've seen this movie before plenty of times.

Oh sure, maybe a champion player like Fedorov can pull one out of his ass when the rest of the team is skating with sphincter muscles so tight they could crack a coconut. But in looking around your roster I don't see Fedorov. However, I do see failures like Ovechkin, Semin, Backstrom and Green. You know, the guys that got smacked in Game 7s by the Flyers, Penguins and Canadiens in just the past four seasons.

To paraphrase the immortal Larry Bird after the Atlanta Hawks lost a similar Game 6 (that's basketball for you DC folks - I know you don't have an NBA team so I need to explain this), "they had their chance and they blew it." Sounds about right. You didn't want Game 7. You know you will always fail in Game 7. And this time will not be different.

I leave you again with these highlights for your viewing pleasure.

And lastly, why did you mess around with this guy? Now you will suffer the consequences.

Thimas - channel that guy.

Hey Caps fans, do you want to see how it is to respond in a Game 7 situation? Watch and enjoy what you are going to see tomorrow because your sorry ass bunch of underacheiving pussies won't be able to do it. These Bruins play like the CHAMPIONS that they ARE in the toughest situations. I don't have enough room to post what I want to, so here are 2 examples of how CHAMPIONS finish the job.

I want to see a few things tomorrow night. First, I want to see more of the dump-and-chase-like-a-maniac and make sweet passes Looch. Second, I wanna see Bergy win 20 faceoffs. Third, I want Marshmont to draw 3 penalties on these clowns. Fourth, I want Seidenberg to crush Ovechkin several times. Fifth, I want Krejci to show us some slick stickhandling. Sixth, I want Holtby to continue flaring his glove while many goals sail pass him. Seventh, I wanna Seguin do something utterly ridiculous...again.

I want to win. Protect the Civic.

Honestly, the 2 day wait benefits the Bruins fantastically. The Caps get to sit around for two days with the knowledge that they could have avoided this game and blew it badly on Sunday, and it gives Bergeron two more days to heal up. Finish these jerks off and bring on the next round.

It doesn't suck that Ovechkin is talking about his playing time and that the Caps have had two full days to stew on their failure to end this series at home.

Saw this quote from Gordon Edes about Carl Crawford:

Call me crazy, but 2 trips to Boston already for elbow soreness seems bit suspect. Bears watching, for sure. So much for May 1 projections.

And my first thought was "Bears watching?" Huh. So Crawford is a Bruins fan and is using elbow soreness as an excuse to come to Boston to see Game 7???

I'm not sure what that says about me or where my mind is at today...

See, I took it as the Bruins were watching to see what happened with Crawford, and I was worried their minds weren't in the right place.

Jack Edwards@RealJackEdwards
Refs tonight are Stephen Walkom and Eric Furlatt. Walkom (with Dan O'Halloran) worked Game 7s in 2011 Conference Final & Stanley Cup Final.

Excellent. Let's hope Furlatt follows Walkom's lead.

Is firstrowsports or whatever it was still working? My house got packed up Monday for my move, so I don't have a TV. I'd prefer not to go to a bar, especially since I don't know of any good hockey bars in Vegas.

I thought that maybe after last year and the Bruins wining that maybe, just possibly, my nerves would not act up like crazy during the playoffs.

Well I was 100% wrong, it is back to exactly the same god damn feelings as last year, and it is awesome and it sucks at the same exact time. Nothing sucks so much but is so awesome at the same time as Bruins game 7 playoff games.....except for Flawless's mom.

I've actually been pretty calm throughout these playoffs. The only time I got nervous was during Game 3. And I'm consuming less alcohol this year to boot.

I found it to be the opposite. I was stone sober for Game 6 and it damn near killed me. The beer helps me stay sane.

Yeah, I'm just as nervous this year, but I think it more has to do with me not wanting them to be one and done than anything else. If they lose in subsequent rounds I think I'll be less nervous/upset... I think.

Also, leave mom's out of this because I just left yours.

I'd like to think this is where I am too, but I am probably fooling myself. If they get bounced in the next round it'll still sting a lot I am sure.

Ok that's a lie. Where I really am is ball's deep in kenney's mom.

I have been pretty calm though I still fist pump kenney's mom when they score.

I am annoyed when they lose, but that is mostly because that means that there will be no more entertaining sports on TV, especially since the Sox suck ass.

Not really a Tolkien guy but if Helm's Deep is a cavernous, arid, place full of strange odors, then yes it's exactly like that.

I've been sipping on Laird's Applejack so far for all 3 wins... just bought a new bottle to ensure we're good for tonight.

While the most likely scenario is for tonight to be a very close, low scoring game... my gut keeps telling me the B's are going to win big. 5-1 with Seguin going nuts.

Full marks to the Caps if they can come in and win their 3rd game at the Garden... but I got a feeling the B's are due for a bit of a put on this evening

I'm not nervous, but I'm definitely anxious. Last year before Game 7 I was terrified and on the verge of a nervous breakdown. This year I'm excited and on edge...but definitely at a much healthier level. I think it's going to be a great game.

I also spent the morning finding out that my car will cost far more than I'm willing to spend to get an inspection sticker (which expired 6 months ago), and looking into a new car. So that's been kind of shitty. At least between 7:30 and 10:30ish I won't be thinking about my stupid car.
