4/19 - Swizzy vs Hughes: Twins go for a series win. In the Bronx. I know, I can't believe it either.

Please go to Wade and not Soriano in the 7th. Soriano pitched last night, let him rest for tomorrow if possible.

Why didn't Joe pull Hughes after he walked Morneau?

Keeping pace with Bobby?

Logan might not have been warmed up yet.

Doumit is a switch-hitter also, and Hughes still looked like he had good stuff against Morneau.

How many of those would be outs in other stadiums?

Check here tomorrow.

Soriano warming, so no luck for you there, JA.

Probably, plus the Twins' pitching is so mediocre, Girardi probably isn't that worried.

@jasoncollette
Joe Maddon going all LaRussa here as he uses his 3rd reliever in as many batters...in the 6th inning

Maddon might have shitty relievers but at least he tries.

I thought Phelps would've been the first out of the pen. He hasn't pitched since Saturday, I believe.

He's not going to see anything anywhere near the zone.

Wow, nice throw by Doumit, a benefit of having a C in RF there.

What are the Yankees hitting with RISP this season? Because it feels about .100, as well as 0-fer with the bases loaded.

Yankees got a brutal 9 games ahead of them, 3 Boston, 3 Tex, 3 Det. One 1 game against the Twinkies to split the series ain't what they needed. Crappy SP'ing so far offset by a good BP.

Ah. Nothing like a Russell Martin GIDP. He and Jeter must share tips with one another.

Odd stat of the night: Russell Martin, batting .133, leads Yankees regulars with a .395 OBP thanks to 10 walks in 12 games.

More like Cano this season. Robbie has hit into five, including the bases loaded one earlier this game.

The two starting catchers for the Sox and the Yankees are hitting .080 and .133.

This BP has been absolute gold. Hopefully, when Pineda/Andy come up, they can get more of a break.

Nasty stuff thrown by Rivera tonight, so much for hoping for his decline.

rembrat - thanks brother, I knew we could count on you.

Only three things in life are certain -- death, taxes, and the results of a rembrat Yankee gamethread.

How the hell does the YES network not have an Amica/Pitch Track graphic yet?

Once Rivera retires they'll get it. It would be embarassing to watch an at bat charted out with a pitch tracker when Rivera's on the hill. MLB would have to have a discussion with their umpires about calling Rivera's pitches properly.
So hopefully beginning of 2013.

Maybe if rem won't give us a new game thread, we should just keep going with this one.
