Not that worried about tonight's loss. Sure we're tied up 2-2 now, but it's not every night the opposing goaltender's gonna put up 45 saves, just put a few of those shots in the net on Saturday then finish them off in their own house in Game 6.

Damn I'm getting hungry.

I had a mental block about breakfast when I was younger because I would have to shit my brains out any time I ate something before school. Slowly but surely I've overcome it (still need to be careful with eggs early in the morning) and right now I would kill for some goddamn pancakes.

Well good news, they're not playing at night on Saturday so we're good!

Pancakes are good as long as the butter and syrup melt together in the proper ratio.
Waffles are never good because they have too much surface area, causing them to cool down too quickly. The butter never melts; it just lodges in a few random divots.
Muffins are the way to go. I'm gonna make chocolate chip raspberry muffins for breakfast tomorrow and inhale them while the chocolate is still all melty.
And New Mexico can be gorgeous. Just depends on where you are.

So..... Judging from what I've read on this last page no criticism is allowed of the Bruins effort so far in the series, right? Because they won the Cup last year after being down 2-0 against the Habs in the first round, everything this year is fine? Really? 45 "shots" on goal and one goal to show for it. Excellent. They must be up against fucking Ken Dryden but they'll figure it out soon enough and translate their territorial domination into wins three and four sure enough.

0 for 11 or is it 12 on the power play? Yeah, yeah, I know, they won the Cup last year with the worst power play in the history of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. We can do it again.

God,this team is infuriating! Will someone wake me up when Seguin shows a fucking pulse. Our best player on the ice is Rick Peverly. Our second best player is Benoit Pouliot. (Not counting Thomas)

No. Misspelling of key players names is not tolerated. Nor is a woe is me, the sky is falling, Chicken Little-esque attitude. I apologize that you have misread the last couple pages of the thread, especially the parts regarding New Mexico and pancakes/hotcakes.

Those pages taught me more important facts of life then one could hope to learn. Everyone would be wise to review them. There will be a test in the next game thread

While it's somewhat relevant, what's the deal with johnny cakes? They seem like way too much chewing effort when a much simpler alternative in the pancake is available. Any Rhode Islanders want to defend them? Or am I just stupid for being convinced to order them twice?

Murphy going off on Thomas after he apparently called out his teammates in the postgame. Did anyone catch this or is Murphy just shit-stirring because he doesn't like Thomas?

Hey, so I misspelled Peverly's name. I was drunk and typing on an IPad. Bruins still sucked! And the sky IS falling.......

And I spelled Pouliot's name right, which is downright impressive given my condition.

I always thought Johnny cakes were some terrible Revolutionary War era shit designed for travel and hence tough and leathery and not receptive to the blandishments of delicious syrup. Something about johnnycake being a bastardization of journey cake has stuck in my head. But Steve Perry is not involved thankfully.

If this was the Flyers-Pens series, the Bruins would have won 17-9 last night. I think they had good chances and got stoned. They were dominating the second period until the first weak as shit power play, which gave Washington legs for the next 8-10 minutes that unfortunately another weak ass PP and goal. Sometimes a goalie just elevates his play. Tonight Holtby was both good and lucky (his rebound control was not great but the pucks seems to all go toward Caps or to Bruins who were in bad position speed/angle wise to get off a decent shot.

That said, tonight to me showed that the Marchand, Krejci, Seguin thing should be put to death. Seguin played spectacular tonight I thought but even Krejci could not keep up with him to be in good position to receive passes and Marchand looks tentative and is spending a lot of time settling the puck and loading up for shots. He is not enough of a sniper to do that shit.

I don't follow or read anything by Murphy, so I may have missed something, but I know Thomas said that they had to do a better job getting traffic on front of Holtby. Seemed like a pretty harmless, and accurate assessment of the game (and series) and Murphy is just being his normal jackass self.

That was very frustrating, especially the second PP which was on a really weak penalty.

Oh well, same place as last year 4 games in. Some home cooking (pancakes, johnny cakes, waffles, whatever) will do us good.

What I wouldn't do to force In a Pickle to step up its Latino breakfast game to match their service folks' ethnicities.

As an aside, I would marry the waitress with the claddagh ring in... approximately .03 seconds.

Edit: on my first point, nevermind. Taqueria Mexico does breakfast.

So to recap:
It sucks I have to go see Fastball
It's awesome I get to go eat great BBQ.

I count this as a win.
