Fuck taxes and fuck the Rangers. Both varieties.
Beat them so bad Josh Hamilton relapses again.

Youk may either hit for the cycle or something good like that and Bobby V will take credit for getting him going, or he goes 0-whatever and Bobby V says I told you so. No matter, still a Win for the Red Sox.

In light of the Ross at-bat yesterday, I went ahead and made up a blueprint for what I believe to be the most advanced robot umpire in baseball. It's just a prototype, and I lack the necessary funds and basic understanding of technology to make this a reality, but I'll be passing it along to the MLB offices. His name is Ump-o-Tron 3000, he has PitchFX installed in a monitor on his chest, and a self destruct button on his back in case he tries to kill fans or players (button not shown in image).
Get it done, Jnai!

Odd that 3 of our losses have come on 3 of the best starts.
Still, we are right in the mix for division lead.
I think we can stay afloat while the pitchers and outfielders heal.
Ten games in... and it's already been quite a season.

Young, Beltre, Napoli, and Cruz have had success against Lester (SSS).
A-Gon has fucking owned Colby Lewis (SSS).

Gonzalez, Ortiz, Sweeney, Salty. And any righties letting the ball get deep in the zone.
Rangers with eight righties in their line up aiming for the Monster.
Go Cutter Jon go.

I hope Aviles goes 4-4 w/ 4HR and fouls off a pitch that hits Valentine in the crotch.

Tim Britton @TBritton_Projo
Kevin Youkilis practicing the second-base turn of a 6-4-3 double play with Tim Bogar. Interesting.
Huh?

Yeah, I'm not a fan of him being on the field except in an emergency.I hate Repko in center. Prove me wrong Repko. Let's get a win

Huh?
If they shift, he will play on that side and Aviles will play on the left side.

Yeah, Longoria did that during the series against us.

Why can't we just trade for Crisp or someone else already? Our in house options suck, least till Kalish gets back and even then he probably won't be ready for a while either.

Because Crisp is signed for $7M next year

I'm pretty sure it was a clerical error on the A's part.

So, at what length of Ellsbury's DL-trip are we willing to assume that cost?

After we realize we're not getting him back till mid next year due to surgery that Boras suggest to make sure his shoulder is 100% for free agency.

I guess there may be certain circumstances, but it seems potentially risky shifting Youk with a man on first and 0 or 1 out.
1. Bunt to third puts two on and could lead to big inning.
2. Ball hit down third-base line goes for double and scores man from first.
3. Anything awry at second -- wide throw, man safe, Youk bobble, could lead to a "Damon '09" and the runner breaking for unoccupied third. Unless a pitcher covers, most guys (like 98% of American Leaguers) beat Youk in a 90-foot dash.
Edit: Add any of a wealth of possible injuries from Youk awkwardly turning double play.

Hell, Tito went even farther than that, and made Youk play 2B!
