Should get one of these up too.

1. Vancouver Canucks vs. 8. Los Angeles Kings
2. St. Louis Blues vs. 7. San Jose Sharks
3. Phoenix Coyotes vs. 6. Chicago Blackhawks
4. Nashville Predators vs. 5. Detroit Red Wings

How long does Roberto last? We'll find out tonight!

Brandon Yip roughing penalty negated by a Franzen roughing penalty, but Detroit kills of the penalty. The playoffs serve as a reminder of how ugly Nashville's uniforms are.

Yeoman's work by NBC and the NHL. Perfect to catch the last 3/4 of the first in this one while Pitt/Phi are on intermission

Was that Brad that put it in his own net or was it Howard's stick?

It's so mind boggling that every game is on TV. It's like Christmas morning, but at night. With wine.

We are living in an incredible era my friend.

PS Letang's pass is still questionable against a non-M.A. Bourdon-manned blue line.

Having Shea Weber and Ryan Suter on the point helps... a lot. Weber was tops among all defensemen in PPG and 6th in PPP. Suter was third in both PPA and PPP.

Nashville also got the 5th fewest power play chances this year, so they weren't on the power play as much as some other teams. The Flyers, for example, had 85 (!) more power play chances. (Of course, Philly was also down a man 75 more times than Nashville.)

The Tim Thomas Arbella ad fucks up the exact same way for me every time it airs, regardless of the network. I'm on fios. Does it do this for anyone else?

Should have been 4 for Bourque

Yup it was stroking out for me too. Surprised it was only a deuce for Bourque.

Yes, and it makes me happy to see the atmosphere and energy for playoff hockey in Nashville. They sound like soccer hooligans. The catfish on the ice is a nice southern touch.

Josi to the box for cross checking. Detroit with a fine chance to tie this up.

And they do. Zetterberg puts in the rebound from a Kronwall shot.

EDIT: I hate Abdelkader so much.

Halischuk throws it towards the net and it deflects off Bourque past Howard, 2-1 Preds.

Rinne would have been better off not making that save, puck was going wide and it would have gone to the corner. Instead it went right to Holmstrom. Easy to say on the 3rd replay...

No, he took the turnbuckle off and threw his head into the exposed metal part. Twice.
