I'm pretty sure Jon Lester will pitch 8 innings and not suck.

To steal a word from Frank Fenway, if you don't like winning you're a Puntoist.

Nick Punto had 596 Twitter followers while with the Twins. 596 people signed up to read 140 characters of wisdom from Nick Punto.

edit: typo, he actually had 596, not 569. 569 will either be his OPS+ this season or the number of holes in SJH's wall by July.

Current Blue Jays have a collective 191 BA and 578 OPS against Lester.

Current Red Sox have a collective 308 BA and 923 OPS against Romero.

Not sure why they even bother playing. It's a W, book it.

Is it possible to be a stopper for a 1-game losing streak? Cuz it sure feels like we need one. Be the guy, Jonny.

This team needs to get back to the friendly confines of Fenway soooooo bad. Although the Boston mediots will be there so there's that drawback.

If anyone buys that clubhouse turmoil that the CHB's and Schilling's of the world are spilling then I'd like to sell you some nice real estate on the water in the everglades... Schilling has backed way off his comments by the way and it appears as if he has delusions about how many friends he has on the team...

Good lineup and pitcher for a getaway game, and the real bullpen should be ready and rested.

Thomas and Bowden unavailable! Yay!!!

I understand the Punto hate, but if Youk does anything other than GIDP and covers 3rd base instead of watching the play like the rest of us, last night's game could have turned out totally differently.

There is catharsis in blaming Punto. It feels too damn good. How can we not blame this guy?

Buster Olney, too. Although he also said two years ago, when Papi was atrocious in April 2010, that sources inside the Red Sox organization were confirming there's no way he's on the team after the All-Star break. I've always gotten the sense Olney's best source at Fenway was a batboy's second-cousin's social-studies teacher's husband's old roommate at Northeastern.
