That's a good start. With this stretch of games on tap I'm destined to not be starting TOO many of these threads but I don't plan on this being my last one.

Put some space between us and them so we don't have to sweat the playoffs the last couple weeks.

I want Philly to play so bad the fans turn off the tv, search the streets for the Easter Bunny, and boo him mercilessly.

Thank god for basketball season. Time to block that other sport from my mind.

Philly sucks. Especially for signing Papelbon.

Nice play to have both Stiemsma and Bass setting picks for Rondo. One rolls, the other pops, and Bass makes the open jumper.

Pavlovic has had a few eye-popping defensive plays this year.

that was kind of a cool sequence. ray and bradley were talking at the previous free throws in the backcourt, could make it out in the back, and then they ran what seemed like a set play. ray drilled the three, bradley and ray slap hands, time out sixers. up 10. badda bing, badda boom. lets go.

The Celtics have a great defense when Garnett, Bradley, Stiemsma and Rondo are all on the court. Stiemsma has also figured out how to cut to the basket. Even when he can't convert, he usually makes a good pass out for a jumper.

I'm liking this trend of lock down defense to start the second quarter.

Pavlovic didn't score but played really well. He had four rebounds and a nice block.

It's still SSS but I really like the flow of the starters and the bench with ray as the 6th man.

The sight of Avery sinking a three is a comforting one.

Now that rondo has his ten assists he is relaxing with some baskets.

Is there any doubt that absent a return of Pietrus, what we've seen the last 2 games is the playoff rotation? Sasha is clearly the best fit as the 8th man. I'm loving Dooling not seeing the floor lately.

This is right up there with the most recent Heat game as one of this team's best games of the year. Granted, Philly has been struggling a lot lately, but they've given us a lot of trouble this season and they responded beautifully on the second night of a back-to-back. They lost to San Antonio by a point, were beating Chicago handily before they choked it away, and have now decisively beaten two playoff teams back-to-back. Not a bad stretch of basketball.

Avery gets the entire fourth quarter to work on his floor management and playmaking skills. The Celtics were deadly on the mid-range jumpers throughout this game, especially Bass and Garnett, and Rondo got them the ball exactly where and when they wanted it. Rondo's 15 assists in 29 minutes are nothing to sneeze at.

That's 17 straight double-digit assist games for Rondo. He has been insanely good and consistent since the ASB.

I don't know how this team has been so much better in the 2nd half than the last couple C's teams have been. Amazing.
