Solid win tonight. If I understand it correctly, everyone has one game left. If Ottawa wins or Washington loses, we get Ottawa, otherwise we get Washington. With regulation wins the as tiebreaker, am I right that we can't play Florida?

Great win for Khudobin, he'll be in the NHL after next season. Nice to grab the 100 point mark and to beat a potential playoff opponent while resting our 3 top players. Really need Ottawa to grab a point against NJ.

Krejci, for all his inconsistency, matches his point total from last season with 21 points in his last 20 games. Nice to see him on a roll headed into the playoffs.

Basically here's the scenario:

1. Ottawa W or OTL gets them 7th.
2. Ottawa regulation loss, combined with any Washington win, and Washington is 7th.

Florida is out of the picture at this point, since Ottawa holds the ROW tiebreaker over them. Florida will either be 3 or 8.

Washington win, Florida regulation loss gives Washington the 3 seed. Ottawa would get the 7 no matter what they do.

If Florida gets a point, they win the division. A Washington win and Ottawa regulation loss would make the Caps the 7 seed.

Basically, just root for the Senators to get a point,

Buffalo made a decision to become the softest team in the league at the deadline. I don't think there will be any issues. Kaleta's really the only guy to be concerned with. Granted he's a douche of the highest order, but if they just have Thornton shadow him, they'll be fine.

I'd probably give Looch the night off anyway to get him fully rested up for next week.

Trying to make this sound in the least dickish way possible but BC has been there and come up short too many time (4 since 2000 out of 7 appearances, which is incredible in itself) to get complacent about another finals appearance. Definitely should have one or two more stars on the jersey.

Truly depresses me that instead of laughing my first reaction to this was "Lannister colors are red and gold, red and black is for House Targaryen." That can't be healthy.
