Krejci, for all his inconsistency, matches his point total from last season with 21 points in his last 20 games. Nice to see him on a roll headed into the playoffs.
Edit:
Why is this the case when they would be tied with Ottawa having more ROW?
Would that not result in Washington 3, Ottaw 7, Florida 8? I'm confused.
Yup, you're right, I meant Florida needs to get a point against Carolina, my bad.

Ottawa loses in regulation to NJ, Washington beats NYR, Florida loses in regulation to Carolina..
Dammit Florida, if you can't beat freaking Carolina, you dont deserve to be in the playoffs.
Oh wait...

Doesn't that give Washington the Southeast title? OTT regulation loss + Caps W + Florida getting a point = Bruins/Caps first round if I'm not mistaken.

Yep.
Basically here's the scenario:
1. Ottawa W or OTL gets them 7th.
2. Ottawa regulation loss, combined with any Washington win, and Washington is 7th.
Florida is out of the picture at this point, since Ottawa holds the ROW tiebreaker over them. Florida will either be 3 or 8.

If Florida gets a point, they win the division. A Washington win and Ottawa regulation loss would make the Caps the 7 seed.
Basically, just root for the Senators to get a point,

Damn. Nice game for the guy. It's a good feeling to see him play so well knowing he might have to be the playoff backup.

I would sit everyone in the top 9 and all top 6 defenseman against Buffalo who has nothing to play for.
Just send out Corvo. Nude with a "Buffalo Sucks" sign.

You're not the only one. NHL Network just said that Boston-Ottawa is set.Yeah, I keep leaving out the Washington jumping to 3 scenario. My brain is not working tonight.

Trying to make this sound in the least dickish way possible but BC has been there and come up short too many time (4 since 2000 out of 7 appearances, which is incredible in itself) to get complacent about another finals appearance. Definitely should have one or two more stars on the jersey.I wish I'd had this mindset last year.

Brown bag something from the duty free?Ugh I hate getting to the airport early, only to have zero line at security. So I am sitting at the gate with well over and hour to kill....and the bar is closed. I can't even drink the hours away.

I've missed the game threads this year. I've been a much less active participant than in seasons past, mainly due to the fact that I hate all of you, especially Esasky. At least the quality improved in my absence...addition by subtraction.

TFP likes his dress shirts red with black and red ties. He'd be the Tyrion Lannister of the Gambino family.
Holy shit. People at work are staring at me because I'm laughing at this.

Truly depresses me that instead of laughing my first reaction to this was "Lannister colors are red and gold, red and black is for House Targaryen." That can't be healthy.
