Online coverage always starts before the TV coverage. Usually stream Amen's Corner and 15&16.

They usually have a featured group or two that they follow exclusively. My guess would be Tiger's threesome would be such a featured group, especially since they'll be close to done by the time ESPN goes on the air.

Have to say if there's one drawback to the Masters, it's the TV coverage. I know it's Augusta National's call rather than the networks in this case, but for all the majors, they should all be on the air all day. The Open Championship coverage gets it right...8-10 hours of wall to wall coverage each day. Masters coverage on the air at 8 or 9am and running until the last putt falls would be awesome.

I agree - the one thing I hate about the Masters is the TV coverage. Coming on at 3PM is just absurd. They should be televising the event at 1PM on Thursday and Friday and 11AM on Saturday and Sunday.

I agree too. You don't get as much of a feel for the first few holes with a 2:40 tee time for the final pairing. Tee ball on 2 is fantastic, as is the green on 3.

Four minutes of commercials kicks ass.

I do like the Mickelson-Mahan-Hanson one to end the day. A pair of intriguing ones to me are Jason Day-Kyle Stanley-Bill Haas and Immelman-Fowler-Rose.

Par 3 tournament. Martin Keymer skips it across the pond on 16 for a hole in one.

The Masters website shows online coverage of Amen Corner, 15/16, + 2 Featured Groups. You would have to think one of those would be Tigers group. That coverage starts at noon, he's off at 10:35, so it should pick him up on 7 or 8.

One of the featured groups will definitely be Tiger, he tees off at 10:35. I'm not so sure about the other group, I would have put my money on Rory, but he tees off at 1:42 and coverage starts at 3. Phil tees off dead last, so it definitely won't be him.

I could see it being one of these three groups:
8:45 - Adam Scott, Bo Van Pelt, Martin Kaymer
9:18 - Kyle Stanley, Jason Day, Bill Haas
10:24 - Charl Schwartzel, Keegan Bradley, Kelly Kraft

EDIT: Phil and Rory could definitely be the 2 groups on Friday, though. They tee off at 10:46 and 10:35, respectively.

My money would be on Schwartzel's group being the other featured tomorrow. Defending champ plus the reigning PGA champ who has been one of the more consistent top-10 finishers this year. Makes too much sense.

Weather looks like it could be an issue. The par-3 just got called off, and there's rain in the forecast through Friday.

Looks like the morning guys will be in decent shape, but the afternoon guys might be in for the worst stuff around 4 pm. Problem is lightning.

Azaleas also bloomed early.

Birdies aplenty.

The limited coverage bothers me to no end. It would be equivalent to ony broadcasting the World Series from the 5th inning on.

I would pay at least $20 for an app that would allow me to watch wall to wall coverage. I have to figure there are quite a few others that would as well.

There is no way that would impact attendance in the least.

I guess we need to wait for the current admin at Augusta to die off before we see this happen.

Does the Masters package on DirecTV offer more coverage than the standard on ESPN or NBC? I keep seeing ads for the mosaic channel but not sure of the details.

Not more hours but more features. A bunch of different views - the standard ESPN/CBS feeds, two featured groups, Amen Corner, 15 & 16 - plus interactive stat stuff and some exclusive interviews/press room stuff. It brings some of the cool online streaming views together with the standard television feeds, but I don't think they are broadcasting anything outside of the standard windows.

At least this is my understanding.

Here are some more details on tomorrow's online schedule:

LIVE COVERAGE ON MASTERS.COM
10:45 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Amen Corner live video coverage
11:45 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Hole Nos. 15 and 16 live video coverage
12:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
Featured Group 1 live video coverage
Featured Group 2 live video coverage
3:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
Masters In-Depth live video coverage highlights

In Haney's book, he mentioned in the week leading up to each of Tiger's four wins at Augusta there were heavy rains. Tiger apparently has terrible allergies and the rains helped to lower the pollen count.

Kevin Na and Ben Crane are in the same group. Hilarious. No question they will be put on the clock.

I feel for the guys behind them, especially because a delay is possible. Sabbatini is going to lose his shit.

Rain this afternoon and early tomorrow morning - this sets up perfectly for Tiger. He's going to miss most of the rain both days, but benefit from the softer conditions.

You can go to Masters.com, click leaderboard, click on the player to expand his specific scorecard. Holes highlighted with a green box show video for that specific hole. Click on that an it shows the shots for that hole. Right now you can watch Tigers play on #1. I assume they'll add holes as he goes.

He is apparently battling a herniated disc that has left him with nerves so badly pinched that he is losing the feeling in his right foot. Not surprisingly, his ball striking is a bit off these days.
