The Bruins are locked into the #2 seed no matter what happens the in last 3 games of the regular season. Therefore, the objective is to get some of our top players some rest and hope nobody gets hurt. Any one of 3 people could start in goal, and none of those 3 are named Tim Thomas.

Pittsburgh knows they will be playing Philly in the first round. Yeah, they would like to get home ice for that series, and they're probably pretty pissed off after their loss on Sunday, but this game isn't life-or-death for them, either.

But it's on the schedule, so they have to play. If they have to play, the B's might as well win.

And since I keep posting it, and they keep winning (or at least losing in a shootout so I can keep starting threads)...

For a variety of reasons it's been a long time since we've been at a game. Really looking forward to being back in the Garden tonight.

Waiting for my train at north station, I decide to buy a Rolston jersey tee. I walk out and see a guy in a #12 Kobasew tee. Awesome.

Haha, I hate the 7:30 home starts.

Anyway, Turco in net, Khudobin will be the backup. Krug is definately in, so someone on D is sitting. McQuaid is still out, and Caron is also out with the flu. Real shitty time for the flu to make the rounds, I hope Caron is quarantined.

Never had the flu but I fucking hate it. Cost the Pats a Super Bowl. Could have cost the B's the Cup last year.

Everybody wins.

Why start Turco? Start Qdoba and give him some games if you think you might need him in the playoffs if Timmy gets sent to Guantanamo.

Khudobin and Tuukka should get the games before Saturday. Give Turco a heartfelt thanks and some lovely parting gifts.

While I tend to agree perhaps this is the B's doing Turco a favor by giving him one last shot to audition for a job somewhere next year. Little moves like this can go a long way when trying to sign another veteran FA down the line. Lets face it if we need to rely on Kudo in the playoffs we are probably in big trouble. I would imagine he starts one of the last two games and we pray that he doesn't see the ice in the post-season.

Tuukka's not ready to play yet, he hasn't even practiced. I don't see the harm in letting Khudobin watch a game from the bench and get another practice under his belt before starting. Doubt it's going to matter either way so might as well give Turco one more game.

Cam basically said as much in his interview with Felger and Mazz. He said he feels that Turco deserves one more game for helping them out when they were in a big time bind and that doing something like this for a veteran can go a long way towards making other players want to come here.

Plus, who says Thomas needs a full game Saturday? In my mind any added rest he gets, given his track record of playing well when rested, is simply gravy. Give Tuukka the 3rd Thursday if he's ready as well as the 3rd Saturday, Khudobin gets the 3rd tonight perhaps as well as the 1st and 2nd Thursday, Thimas gets the 1st and 2nd Saturday.

Malkin and Marchand/Seguin just had a little battle of wills to see who ould be last off the ice. And Marchand pretty much pushed Khudobin off the ice in front of the 2 of them. Funny.

Nice to be able to relax and watch a meaningless game with zero playoff implications (atleast for the B's) the last week of the season.

Predictions on 7th player? I'm thinking it'll be Seguin. Biggest statistical jump on the team.

Can't get too upset with Seguin as 7th player, leading the team in points at 19-20 was well above reasonable expectations.

Did Seguin or the chick win the Mazda? Because you know I how I love the former. What the fuck is Seguin going to do with a Mazda SUV? Rev the engine maniacally while Ference looks on in sadness?

Tough for me to give 7th player to someone who was on line 1a or 1b all season. Kelly probably should have won it, but I'm glad the team is good and deep enough where we can have this discussion/debate.

Kelly, Seidenberg, Ference were the three I'd have been for (roughly in that order).

The first line right winger for your team is not a "7th player". (Yeah, I know, Seidenberg is the #2 on the team, but he blocks 8,000 shots a game)
