Umm, lucic has the right to his path to pursue the puck. The defenseman does not have the right to stand in his way without the puck. Lucic shouldn't have buried him but it wasn't a penalty.The guy was entitled to his spot on the ice tho. Just bc that's where Looch wants to go it is ok to hit a guy when he doesn't have the puck? I know he was standing there intentionally, but still

No I fully agree that Looch has a right to pursue the puck, but just like you said Looch shouldn't have buried him, doesn't that make it a penalty in itself? Would have been a pick had the puck carrier gone around the net. He didn't. Lucic buried Stralman who ended up setting a pick for no one - the equivalent of standing around.
It's a weak call but IMO given where the puck carrier was I'm fine with it being called.
