The best going right now is Van der Vaart.

Shitty corners are as old as the road to Kralingen

The art of the clever and well worked set piece routine seems to be more or less extinct amongst top teams now, as if it's some sort of gauche Big Sam-ism. Pricks.

I remember going to Madrid in the 1980s and watch Atleti against FC Groningen. I was a little boy back then, but remembered the home team trapping Groningen off-side at every free kick by just storming up-field before the free kick was taken. For years now I have asked myself why teams don't implement that. Even if you don't catch 6 players off-side, you will avoid the rush of players trying to get to the end of a swung-in free kick.
Let me see if I can find a video example from way back
EDIT: here's a recent one by Siena. Was on an out-swinging free kick, ha ha. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9i_q3HehMVk
And one by Wolves against Liverpool. I know it was much more widely used in the 70s and 80s, perhaps because of the timing involved and the rapidly declining intelligence of the football player ;-)
