Have you seen the replay? That's not really a penalty. Seguin went to pin Stamkos to the board and their legs got tangled. Not exactly a lazy or malicious play to call "stupid."

I should point out that Seguin shouldn't be putting himself in that position, but Stamkos absolutely played that up for all it's worth.
