I figure we don't need separate threads for just 2 games each day.

Saturday
West Regional Final--Louisville vs. Florida 4:30 CBS
East Regional Final--Ohio State vs. Syracuse 7:05 CBS

Sunday
South Regional Final--Baylor vs. Kentucky 2:20 CBS
Midwest Regional Final--Kansas vs. North Carolina 5:05 CBS

Louisville/Florida has the Pitino/Donovan storyline, but these are also 2 exciting teams to watch because they get up and down the floor. As you can imagine, they play similar styles and both love to shoot the 3. The key to me is Dieng. If he controls the lane like he did against Michigan State, then Florida won't get any interior scoring and will have to rely on the 3. I like Louisville in a close one.

The East final is where you will see if Syracuse really misses Fab Melo. Will Christmas and/or Keita be able to stop Sullinger? Aaron Craft on either Scoop Jardine or Dion Waiters is an exciting matchup as well. Can Craft penetrate into that zone and make the smart decisions or get to the basket? Is Sullinger going to be knocking down those high post jump shots to force the Cuse bigs out?

Baylor/Kentucky should be a track meet. These are the two most athletic teams in the tournament and the level of play should be really high. The key for me is whether Baylor will rise to the occasion or not. In their 5 meetings with Kansas and Missouri(two highly ranked teams) they did not play well in 4 of them. They most definitely have the talent to stay with Kentucky, but do they have the mental toughness to stay with things when adversity hits?

Kansas doesn't look pretty, but they find ways to win. They made 1 three pointer last night and were absolutely terrible from the line and still beat a very hot NC State team. Jeff Withey controlled the lane last night, especially early, for the Jayhawks with his 10 blocks and needs to play even better tomorrow. UNC committed 24 turnovers last night without Kendall Marshall, but Stilman White did not have any. That is how bad the rest of the team played. Harrison Barnes choked for 40 minutes, but redeemed himself in OT. If he has another performance like that, they will lose and lose big. Same goes for Tyshawn Taylor. This game is going to come down to which frontline outplays the other. Robinson/Withey vs. Zeller/Henson.

What an incredible finish this has been down the stretch for the FLA-LVL game. The Gators are on the verge of a major choke, and that traveling call was the icing on the cake.

3 point lead, 3 point shots are going up and the announcer is screaming, "FOR THE LEAD." Good math.

Say what you want about Pitino and his suck with the Celts and his mistress trysts. The guy can fucking coach.

Pitino sucked the life out of the Celtics so its impossible to root for him. But his team is another story. Great game...

I wouldn't take Sullinger in the draft if there is a decent alternative.

He seems to have serious difficulty against guys just as big or bigger than him, and he acts like a baby when he doesn't get his way.

Florida scored 3 points in their last 14 possessions. They shot 1-for 12 and had 1 FT in those possessions. 8-for-11 from 3 in the 1st half and 0-9 in the 2nd. Also, according to Ken Pomeroy, Florida's odds of winning the game was about 85% at the under 8 timeout(up 8 6:57 left). An epic chokejob if I ever saw one.

They are calling it way too tight both ways. Bad calls on both sides not just against cuse and I am saying this as a su fan. Its ruining the game at this point

Just awful.

These refs are a disgrace.

7 minutes into the half and both teams are in the bonus.

Now they blow the whistle for no reason. Get the fuck out of here with this shit.

It reminds me of the scene in Remember the Titans when the refs were purposely throwing the game.

This is beyond words now. Syracuse is never in foul trouble. To have 3 guys with 4 fouls with 10 minutes left is inconceivable.

They have been better the last few minutes.

The first 8 minutes of this half was pretty ridiculous.

Yeah, this is not being called evenly. Sorry, it's just not. It's too tight both ways, but there are now 4 players on Cuse with 4 fouls. There are none on OSU. It's making me want to throw my shoe through my nice television.

Also, maybe STOP TURNING IT OVER.

You could see Joseph gear up for a drive/dunk, turn the jets on, then realize he would probably pick up a garbage bogus charge and change his mind, leading to the turnover.

It's like watching an ump give 8 inches off the outside corner, then suddenly squeeze the other pitcher. It is just maddening.

And it's not like Ohio St needs the help. What a great team, DeShaun Thomas is a monster and he's the third more important guy on the floor. OSU looks championship ready, the Orange are playing frazzled. What a difference Melo would have made.

Refs really put the whistles in their pockets for a minute or two there - seemed terrified to foul any Orangement out.

Honest question between reading game threads here and during the NFL season. From someone that bets over $5,000 a year on the NFL, how much do you bet in sports per year?
