Does Julien still not get any blame for this?
He can't stop pucks either.

This is incredibly disheartening to watch.

There goaltending sucks which is leading to nervous defensemen turning pucks over, and every one of them is going in. If they don't do something about the goaltending, they will miss the playoffs. They can't beat any NHL team like this.

So why is Thomas suddenly doing a mean Blaine Lacher impersonation? I don't think it's because he's tired, he wasn't being worn down to nothing before Rask got hurt. Thomas hasn't been playing all that well for a while now. Isn't hee the asshole who always said he played better with a bunch of games in a row?
Can't wait to hear what excuses he rolls out tonight. "Solar flares" is currently the leader on the Vegas boards.

Krejci and Ference deserve at least slightly less shit thrown at them.Outside of that, I put it all on the players. Outside of Lucic, Bergeron, and to a lesser extent Caron, every single player is just playing like shit and losing mental focus every single game.

Awesome. My younger daughter just decided to go to bed. I told her she was going to miss a great comeback. She replied, "I'm going to dreamland where the Bruins always win."

Not yet. Why destroy her illusions?

1. The Vancouver game. That signaled the end of the November-December run. They haven't been the same team ever since. They have been neutered.
2. The White House. The wheels where wobbling a bit, but since that time, they've fallen off. Particularly Thomas himself. I have no idea why, but ever since then the team has been in a downward slide. They have not put together 1 solid game since then.

Two turning points for this team, in my opinion.
I'd add a 3) the Rangers-Flyers weekend when Ference gets suspended for a hit and Horton gets taken out with no discipline. They've been lousy ever since that weekend.

The better news is cable is effed up somehow too so I can't watch the abortion of the 3rd period. Yes, I left after the 2nd. I couldn't stand sitting next to the gaggle of 5 or 6 middle aged women at a conference screeching at each other about how much they love margaritas and and bloody marys and how much grey goose was in their grey goose and coke. That and the guy standing in front of me who shifted back and forth every other minute making me shift back and forth so I could see the tv. Man I'm old.

Has anyone considered that maybe the opposing teams have figured out how to play against the Bruins?
If that's the case then they need a new coach since this one can't adjust his system. Since they won the cup last year I would think Claude could pick up on shit like that and make those adjustments. We've seen him do it. The problem is they lack confidence because they have a fucking sieve playing behind them every night.

The Sabres played Sweet Caroline when they won 6-0. When your fan base has nothing you resort to stuff like this,
They have hit rock bottom and we have another matinee to look forward to.
Much like September at Fenway, rock bottom doesn't come until after Game 82. Until then, assume it gets worse.

@HackswithHaggsI asked Tim Thomas just now if fatigue was part of the#bruinstailspin: "It absolutely is. Its no excuse. You can see it in people's faces"

For the first time I'm worried that they won't make the playoffs. Too many guys are making excuses and talking about how tired they are. They also may have tuned out thier coach. They need to figure this out quick. It would be really nice if thier Vezina trophy winner could steal a game for then.
Not even steal them a game, just keep them in a game. I can't fault him for most of the goals tonight but christ MAKE A SAVE and help your team out.

What is their method then? Injure their players, get them to make turnovers and make their formerly Vezina goalie let in bad goals? Why didn't they think of that before?!Has anyone considered that maybe the opposing teams have figured out how to play against the Bruins?

Right. That's been the "book" on the B's, but when things are going right and they are at full strength they can handle it. There's nothing new about how to play them -- the team just isn't playing as well as normal.Or pressure the D to make plays because they have a penchant for turning the puck over? Of course you need a solid forecheck and responsible forwards to do it, but that's pretty much always been the B's kryponite the last few years.

Haggs is seriously tried to float the idea that these guys miss Recchi? The fuck..
I'm sure Recchi's legs would be doing just great at this point of the season after the long Cup run.
