I would refuse to play for them just because of the hair thing.
That ... and your lack of athletic ability

I've always liked Kay, the fact that he likes the Yankees aside. I think Paul and Lou are entertaining as well when not talking about the Red Sox

I'm still better than Raul Ibannnnnnez.
Does it bother anyone else that Michael Kay says "RODGEriguez" rather than "RODriguez"? Like he just can't let go of Clemens or something.

You seem to be bothered by many things tonight. Have you taken your meds?

Solid 4 innings from Felix
I would go past solid and say that was the best performance pitch by pitch I have seen this spring. Forget the results and linescore since there were a lot of starters out of there, but he showed as good command and stuff as I have seen from anybody this March.

No laptops. We can rule out Buch.

You guys want to know what else annoys me today? A mandated one game playoff. 162 games to 1 game. I can't wait for the worker revolution so professional sports won't have to have ridiculously short meaningless playoff series' in order to generate profit.
My dream: 130 game regular season, followed by a 21 game playoff b/t the League Champions.

That would be wild. It makes less than zero sense from a business perspective but wild. You guys want to know what else annoys me today? A mandated one game playoff. 162 games to 1 game. Last I checked all of the division winners have a best of five series after an extra day off. Are you really complaining about the second place team not getting a fair shake? The wild card has been unfair towards the wild card team since it started. I used to think they should have given the top division winner all five at home against the wild card, but I actually like this better. Now if we can just make sure to win the division and make that a Yankee problem and not ours.
Well, I would like to complain about a 5 game series also. It's an insanely small sample size which renders the World Series champion largely meaningless. (In the sense of the Champion being the best team.)
I guess my problem is more with the short series' than the 1 game playoff per se, so good point.
Edit - Bowden looked awesome.

I really hate Bowden's throwing motion. Seems like a good kid and I hope he excels, but just one of the guys I don't like watching.
It is kind of difficult to watch. All in all a decent inning for him though.

He has always looked to me like he hides the ball really well and it should be really hard for hitters to pick it up. Then, he gets lit up again and I'm left wondering if the camera angle is just fooling me.Another goose egg from Bowden. Nice.

Does anyone have any idea if that gun runs high?
He looked good to me, but then again I'm easy to please.

The best team is not supposed to win every time! That's the point! So people playing good baseball under the bright lights and getting the bounce win! Otherwise we can just kill the post season and give the championship to every to regular season team. Hurray for the 116 win Seattle Mariners! Or even better we can bypass the whole random distribution of results and go with run differential instead of wins. Or even runs are two random, and we should go with a pure statistical analysis and whatever team finishes the season with the highest WAR.
I agree that a one game playoff is not a fair wait to go, but if you are complaining about it you are a SECOND place team that shouldn't have a decent ground to complain about.
I do agree with you that they should find an extra two days to make the first round best of seven as well.

I don't think we disagree all that much, but I would enjoy a 130 game season followed by a 21 game playoff much more than the current system. Even 7 games isn't enough for me, as it just isn't a large enough sample size to determine anything. A bounce here or there, as you mention, matters just as much as talent.

I love it. I hate the way games end. It's not even basketball.Next controversial sports topic: The NBA would be amazing if it was first to 100, win by 3. It would solve the fouling at the end of games problem.
