Maybe he is seeing something in practice that doesn't instill confidence in having him play. I can't think of many other reasons not to give him a shot unless he wants him to play against a much weaker opponent.

Yeah, if I were Chiarelli or Neely, I'd be beating Claude's brains in with Turco's pads to get the point across. You're 9 points up on 8th with a game in hand, 11 points and 2 games in hand on 9th. You're making the playoffs, but you won't last long if, in some stupid bid to win your division, you burn out your Vezina-winning goalie.

He's been here almost a week. He is a capable NHL goalie with a track record. This isn't some rookie they just brought up from Providence. Play him especially on a back to back.
