Incarcerated Bob @incarceratedbob
**BREAKING NFL NEWS**Source: Colts decided 2part ways with Peyton Manning #HallOfFame career is over with #Colts(Skins/Chiefs/Cards/Jets)

I guess that answers the Andrew Luck question that nobody was really asking.... Does #18 hang it up? Should he? Out of Bob's 4 teams, the Cardinals makes the most sense. Best WR out of the bunch with a strong running game. Although having to play the 49ers twice could result in some more spine fusion.

Who the hell is "incarcerated Bob" and why is he a) known for breaking news and b) known for making up breaking news. If your known for making up breaking news wouldn't no one pay attention to you?

Edit: And I'm asking because I've heard his name dropped around here several times to the tune of "you sound like incarcerated Bob" or "thats a rumor incarcerated Bob would come up with"

You know Smith considers it a failure and apologized for it? On its own it is a goofy movie. It's junk food. I expected more after Clerks. Let's change the subject. How do you feel about third nipples?

Is there anyone here who thinks Peyton stays with the Colts?

I can't see it happening. And if someone actually thinks he will end up staying in Indy, can you explain why the Colts would make that decision?

Getting back to Peyton, Arizona DOES make the most sense, except for the fact that Arizona has some holes on defense and on the O-Line. I'm afraid that he might go to the Jets, just because they are the best team in the hunt and they have a good Offensive Line and that is enticing for a guy coming off of neck surgery.

The Jets A) play in cold weather B) share New York with Peyton's brother C) did not have a good offensive line next year D) are somewhat in cap hell E) have to play the best team in football twice a year and F) have a ground and pound offensive coordinator. I say no chance.

Yeah I bet Peyton's real shook to throw against New England's awesome defense twice a year. The Jets can't afford him, I don't think, and even if they could I hardly think they are the "best team in the hunt". Plus they'd have to cut Sanchez and would then be one neck-issue away from Mark Brunell. Bad matchup on paper, but the Jets have jumped through major hoops to sign guys that weren't particularly good fits in the past....

I think the key for Peyton is he's not going to want to go to a place that makes him uncomfortable, like the back of a Volkswagen.

What places have the most cap space? I would think he'd want to bring in at least a couple guys that he is familiar with. I think that makes the Jets less likely, since they'll have some trouble simply fitting Peyton in. San Fran has $15mil more space than NYJ.

In fairness to the Jets (and I hate conceding anything to them), without Nick Mangold their offensive line is completely different.

Did you really just say that playing against the Pats twice a year would be a negative for Peyton? Did you see the Pats secondary last year? A QB would want to play New England twice a year, maybe a cornerback wouldn't, but certainly not a QB.

I would think a guy like Peyton would care more about winning than about accumulating stats against the Pats secondary, but maybe I overestimate him. The Pats are the winningest team in the NFL in the last 11 years, I don't think it's a stretch to say that teams don't want to play them.

I think it's a stretch. The Patriots are probably the most hated team in the league. I think teams love playing and beating them. And it's not like the Pats are some super-physical team that beats you up, like the Ravens, Steelers, etc.

Fair enough. In the end, I think it's low on the list of potential factors. I think playing outdoors in the northeast is a much bigger factor, as opposed to playing 8 home games indoors plus another guaranteed road game indoors, if he were to play for Arizona.

It's pretty amazing that this is reality. A year ago this situation seemed inconceivable. In early September we were all talking about how the Colts just had to weather the storm for the first half before Peyton returned. Fast forward to now, Colts have the #1 pick, a new QB, and Peyton Manning will be playing football elsewhere (or on TV somewhere). It's almost as surreal as the Sox collapse and fallout last September/October.

I think Miami's the heavy favorite. It's warm weather, he's comfortable with the area, the offense has weapons (and one of the best LT in the game), and the defense is young and up-and-coming. If Peyton can still be Peyton, his addition immediately makes the Dolphins a SB contender, in my opinion. Plus, it doesn't hurt that Manning's a huge Marino fan. ;-)

Shahid Khan will hand Peyton a blank check. He will then offer to sign Reggie Wayne. He knows that if Peyton came to Jacksonville and ticket sales were still slow, his hands would be completely clean when he moves to LA.
Good football decision.

I'd love this move for Peyton and the 49ers, but Harbaugh digs Smith.
